Banaras Hindu University (BHU) directs BHU MCA PET entrance exam for admission to its three-year full time Master of computer Applications (MCA) course. This course offered by the university is highly preferred by MCA aspirants around the country for its academic structure that combines classroom learning and practical experience. This Postgraduate Entrance (PET) exam is conducted every year in the month of May/June before the start of the academic year. The university invites applications for BHU MCA entrance through its notification that is published in the month of February.

BHU MCA Admission Criteria

Admission to MCA will be done through Common University Entrance Test (CUET PG) conducted by NTA. Candidates must clear the CUET PG exam in order to get admission to MCA at BHU. The final selection will be based on the merit list released by the university on the basis of CUET PG marks. 

 

How to Apply for BHU MCA?

Candidates applying for MCA admission at BHU must apply for CUET PG on the official website. The application process is mentioned below:

  • Visit the official website - cuet.nta.nic.in.
  • On the homepage, click on the link that reads, 'Registration for CUET (PG) - 2023.'
  • Register yourself and then login using your credentials.
  • Fill in the application form, upload the documents
  • Pay the application fees and submit the form
  • Download and print a copy for future references.

Documents Required:

  • Original Marksheet of 10th and 12th examination from a recognized board or university
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized board or university
  • Migration certificate, if passed from any university except BHU
  • Reservation certificate (if any)
  • Admit card of the entrance exam
  • Certificate of being the son or daughter of any BHU current or retired employee

BHU MCA Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for MCA admission at BHU, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Candidates should have completed a Bachelor’s Degree at 10+2+3 pattern with Mathematics as one of its subjects with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognised Board of University. 
  • It should include all subjects of the Degree except those where only pass marks are required and do not contribute to the total in the final Marksheet. It may be either at Intermediate or 10+2 or Bachelor’ Degree or any equivalent examination.
