This is a university level entrance exam held every year to offer admissions into various Integrated First Degree Programmes. Admission will be offered to the candidates into B.E, B.Pharm and M.Sc programmes after qualifying this admission test. Candidates will get admission in the BITS campuses located in Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. 

Conducted annually, BITSAT is an online computer based test (CBT) offers admission to interested candidates in its Integrated First-degree programmes including BE, Pharma and MSc programmes. 

BITSAT is a three-hour long exam comprising of 150 multiple choice questions (MCQs). Each section of BITSAT exam has questions from subjects such as - Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning. Check out the BITSAT 2023 exam pattern.

BITSAT 2023 Application Form Process

The application form process for BITSAT involves different steps such as registration, uploading documents, fee payment, etc. All aspirants must follow each below-mentioned step to fill out the application form successfully.

  • Registration: Aspirants must register for the exam by providing Name, Gender, Email Id, Contact No, Date of Birth, etc.
  • Filling the form: After successful registration, candidates need to enter their personal, communication, and academic details and choose three exam centres in the online BITSAT 2023 application form.
  • Uploading of documents: In the next step, candidates have to upload scanned images of photographs and signatures in the prescribed format.
  • Payment of application fee: After entering all the details and uploading the documents, students need to pay the BITSAT 2023 application fee online using net banking, credit, or debit cards.
  • Submitting BITSAT application form: After fee payment, students need to submit their application form. They must check all the details and documents before final submission.

BITSAT 2023 Exam Pattern

BITSAT exam pattern will help students to know about the type of questions, exam duration and marking scheme. Candidates can check a brief description of the exam pattern below:

BITSAT Eligibility Criteria

Here we are providing the eligibility criteria of various courses offered under BITSAT exam:

  1. Qualifying Exam: Candidates should have passed 12th exams of 10+2 system in the year 2018 from any recognized board.

  2. Subjects: Candidates must have PCM subjects (PCB subjects for B.Pharma) with adequate proficiency in English. However, students with PCM subjects can also apply for pharmacy.

  3. Minimum Marks: In the qualifying exam candidates have obtained 75% in PCM/PCB and also have scored minimum 60% marks in each subject.

  4. Appearing Candidates: Students appearing in the 12th exams in the year 2019 are eligible to apply.

  5. If students have taken more than one attempt in the 12th class then the latest performance will be considered.

  6. Candidates who are presently studying in BITS and any of its campuses they are not eligible to apply.

The basic eligibility:

The basic eligibility to appear for BITSAT 2023 is to secure a minimum of 75% aggregate score in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in class 12th. Candidates who opted for Biology must have an aggregate score of 75% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Candidates should make sure that the individual marks in each subject should be 60%.

 

 

BITSAT 2023 Syllabus

BITSAT syllabus covers almost all the topics from class 11 and 12 NCERT books. For the last many years, no changes have been found in the exam syllabus. However, it is expected that there will be some changes in BITSAT 2023 syllabus due to the reduction of the syllabus in the Intermediate board. Candidates can check the space below or the official website to check the latest exam syllabus. Aspirants can check various topics that need to be covered under BITSAT 2023 syllabus for different sections.

  • Physics: Topics under Physics will be as units & measurement, rotational motion, mechanics of solid, Heat & thermodynamics, rotational motion, etc.
  • Chemistry: Various topics will be atomic structure, states of matter, physical & chemical equilibrium, s & p-block elements, principles of organic chemistry, hydrocarbons, and much more.
  • Mathematics: Some of the topics will be algebra, trigonometry, three-dimensional geometry, differential calculus, linear programming, etc.
  • English Proficiency: Vocabulary, Grammar, Reading Comprehension, Analogy, and Composition.
  • Logical Reasoning: Verbal reasoning- Analogy, Classification, reading passage, and many others. Non-verbal reasoning- Figure Matrix, paper cutting, rule detection, and many other topics.
