UPSC ESE 2022 Selection Process

 Candidates who wants to get themselves inducted into Engineering Services they should follow three stages of recruitment process defined by UPSC.

2. Mains

3. Interview

Applicants who will secure the cut off marks in final stage will be declare qualified for the exam. Exam conducting authorities along with declaration of result also released the reserve list of the candidates.

UPSC ESE Preliminary Exam Application Details

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) had released the application form UPSC ESE 2022 on September 22, 2021 in online mode at upsc.gov.in. Candidates can fill UPSC ESE application form was October 12, 2021. Filling of UPSC ESE application form 2022 includes two part process. First candidates have to register themselves and then proceed to fill the application form.

Steps to fill Application form 2022

2. Click on the link to apply for ESE

3. Register yourself and fill all basic details

4. Upload the necessary documents and pay application fee of UPSC ESE 2022

5. Cross check all the details before submit the final application

UPSC ESE Main Exam Application Details

The Detailed Application Form (DAF) is filled by the candidates who qualify the prelims exam. While filling UPSC ESE Detailed Application Form, candidates first have to register themselves and fill the details like name, roll number, email – id, date of birth and all the other details and click on ‘Submit’ button. The details about the login credential are sent to the email id provided by the candidates. Candidates have to login with the roll number and password generated and fill the modules of all the six modules including Personal, parental, educational, Employment information,  and upload the documents and finally submit the application form.

UPSC ESE 2022 Eligibility Criteria

UPSC determines the eligibility criteria of UPSC ESE for all the aspiring candidates. It is important for the candidates to meet the eligibility criteria before they can fill the application form. UPSC ESE eligibility 2022 on the basis of educational qualification

In order to meet the eligibility criteria of UPSC ESE on the basis of education qualification, candidates must have the following qualifications:

  • Must hold a degree in Engineering from the Central or State University or other recognised Educational Institutions deemed as Universities or UGC.

  • A degree/diploma in Engineering from foreign University/College/Institution and under such conditions as may be recognised by the Government for the purpose from time to time, or

  • Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India).

  • Passed Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III/Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India; or

  • Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London held after November 1959.

  • Candidates applying for Indian Radio Regulatory Service must have M.Sc. degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject or Master’s Degree in Science with Physics and Radio Communication or Electronics or Telecommunication as a special subject.

  • Candidates applying for Indian Naval Armament Service must have M.Sc.degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject.

Eligibility criteria on the basis of nationality

Candidates applying for UPSC ESE must be either:

  • A citizen of India, or

  • A subject of Nepal, or

  • A subject of Bhutan, or

  • A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before January 1, 1962 settled permanently in India, or

  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Burma Pakistan, the United Republic of Tanzania, Sri Lanka or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or from Vietnam and settled permanently in India
