The Himachal Pradesh University business school conducts Himachal Pradesh Combined Management Aptitude Test HPCMAT as an entrance test into their MBA course. Those who clear this test will be selected for the course as this is one of the selection criteria. All students who want to perceive MBA Course form colleges located in Himachal Pradesh can apply for it as soon as Himachal Pradesh University declares it official notice for applicants. Any candidate who have completed its bachelors can apply for it i. e. applicant form any stream is eligible. 

The students who intended to apply for HP CMAT had to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the test and apply for the Himachal Pradesh Combined Management Aptitude Test only if they meet the minimum eligibility criteria.

Education Qualification: The applicant must possess a bachelor's degree from a recognised university.

  • The applicant had to have a minimum of 50% aggregate marks for the general category and 45% aggregate marks for SC/ ST category in the bachelor's degree.
  • Candidates appearing in the final year degree examination were also eligible for HP CMAT.

Age Limit: The conducting authority had set the upper age limit of 26 years for NRI/ NRI sponsored/ foreign national candidates/ students, and serving/retired defence personnel.

  • Similarly, 29 years is the upper age limit for SC/ ST candidates.


Mode: Himachal Pradesh Combined Management Aptitude Test 2021 was conducted offline i.e. Pen Paper Based Test (PBT) on May 26, 2022.

Question Type: The question paper consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQ).

No. of Questions & Topics: Himachal Pradesh Combined Management Aptitude Test consists of 200 multiple choice questions in total.

The Question Paper consists of 4 sections.

  • English Comprehension
  • Reasoning
  • Business Environment
  • Arithmetic Comprehension & Data Interpretation

Each section has 50 multiple choice questions and 200 questions in total.

Duration: The time given to complete the examination is 180 minutes i.e 3 hours.

Marking Scheme: One mark is awarded for every correct answer and no negative marking.

Medium: The question papers are in the English language.
