CAT 2023 Notification has been released. It will be conducted by Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) on a rotation basthe is. It is organized for providing admission to various management courses offered by the IIMs. CAT (Common Admission Test) is a national level examination. On the basis of CAT score, candidates can also get admission into other management colleges. This year, it will be regulated by IIM, Kozikhode. Bachelor’s degree with 50% aggregate

(45% aggregate or equivalent for reserved categories)

Registration Fee:

  • Candidates can pay the registration fee through online payment modes.

  • The online payment modes are credit cards (Visa/Master/Amex/Diners Club), debit cards (Visa/Master/Rupay) & net banking.
  • The application fee details are given below:

Application Correction:

The institution will provide the correction facility in the application. All correction related details are mentioned below:

  • Candidates can make a correction in the images from last week of September 2021 through online mode.
  • Corrections in other details will be announced soon.
  • The CAT application correction will be done only in some particulars.
  • Last year, the correction will be allowed only in some personal details such as address, category, gender, work experience, educational information, interview city preference, exam city preferences, etc.
  • If candidates have made mistake in personal details, other personal details, communication address, uploaded documents, then they have to register again with a new email ID.
  • Candidates will do the correction through User ID & password.

CAT Eligibility Criteria 2023

The detailed CAT eligibility is given here:

Age Criteria:

  • There will be no age restriction for taking the CAT examination.

Qualification Criteria:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have a bachelor’s or its equivalent degree.

  • Minimum Marks: Pass the above exam with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% marks for SC/ST/PwD categories).
     
  • Appearing candidates of the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination can also apply.
     
  • Candidates, those possess an equivalent examination recognized by the MHRD, Government of India (including AMICE of the Institution of Civil Engineers (India) as an equivalent qualification) can also apply.
     
  • Should Hold a Bachelor’s Degree and have secured a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. The students belonging to any of the reserved categories like Scheduled Tribe (ST), Scheduled Caste (SC), and Persons with Disability (PWD) or Differently Abled (DA) category must have at least 45% marks.
     
  • The degree has to be awarded by any of the Universities included by an act of the central or a state legislature in India, or any other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or are declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or hold an equivalent qualification recognized by the MHRD, India.
  • Applicants who are appearing for the final year of their bachelor’s degree and the candidates who have completed their graduation degree requirements and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply. If selected, candidates will be allowed to join the program provisionally, only if he/ she submits a certificate from the Principal/Registrar of her/his College/Institute (issued on or before June 30, 2021) mentioning that the particular candidate has completed all the requirements for obtaining the bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification on the date when the certificate was issued.

CAT 2020 Exam Pattern

CAT is a computerized based test. The candidates will get two type of questions for CAT 2020 – first, MCQ type and the other are Non-MCQ type questions. There are 03 sections in the exam which are, Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning.

Preparation Tips For CAT 2020 Aspirants

 

  • You must practice and solve as many questions as you can on a daily basis.

  • List down the questions/ topics which were difficult and start working on them.

  • The motive of mock test should be to analyze and improve your performance with each test.

  • If your concepts are not clear, then you should discuss it with their friends or teachers in advance.

  • Remember that there is a negative marking, so guessing an answer won’t help. Furthermore, it can decrease your chances of qualifying the test.

  • Before you start to solve question paper, it is advised to write down the important formulas on the rough sheets.

  • Do not stress yourself by studying all day long. Take short breaks in between to give your mind some rest.
