Age Limit- The lower age limit is 17 years as on December 31, 2022. There is no upper age limit. However, for Marine Engineering course, there is an upper age limit of 25 years.

The syllabus will contain topics from mathematics, chemistry and physics subjects:
Physics:
Physical World, Measurements, Units & dimensions, Laws of motion, Bulk properties of matter, Thermodynamics, Oscillations & Waves, Current Electricity, Magnetics, Electromagnetic waves, Optics II (Wave Optics), Atomic Physics, Solid state Electronics.
Mathematics:
Algebra A.P., G.P., H.P., Complex Numbers, Permutation and combination, Binomial theorem (positive integral index), Sets, Relations and Mappings, Trigonometry, Co-ordinate geometry of three dimensions, Integral calculus, Application of Calculus, Logarithms, Polynomial equation, Principle of mathematical induction, Matrices.
Chemistry:
Atomic Structure, The Periodic Table and Chemical Families, Coordination Compounds, Gaseous State, Chemical Dynamics, Hydrogen, General principles of metallurgy, Chemistry in Industry, Environmental Chemistry, Hybridization of carbon.
