What is MAH CET MBA?

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test or MAH CET is a management entrance test. Officially known as MAH MBA/MMS-CET, the exam is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, for admission to MBA courses in various institutes in the state of Maharashtra. The syllabus of MAH MBA CET exam includes – Logical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension.

MAH CET MBA is followed by Centralised Admission Process (CAP) or Counselling in which candidates will be allotted MBA seats in MAH CET participating colleges on the basis of their scores. Candidates having valid scores in CAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA can participate in MAH CET MBA counselling directly, for admission to MAH CET participating colleges. MAH MBA CET 2023: Important Dates

The MAH MBA CET 2023 exam dates were revised by Maharashtra CET on May 1. Take a look at the dates of the MAH CET exam below:

MAH CET Exam Day Guidelines

MAH CET is an online mode exam of two and a half hours. Candidates have to reach their designated exam centre on time for hassle-free identification process and entry. There are some dos and don’ts one needs to follow on the MAH CET exam day. Read below:

Dos

Carry two print outs of MAH MBA CET admit card and a photo ID
Reach the exam centre two hours before the exam begins
Read exam instructions thoroughly and abide by the rules
Time yourself and solve the MAH MBA CET question paper accordingly
Carry a blue or black ball-point pen for signing the attendance sheet
Wear a face mask and carry personal hand sanitizer to the exam centre

Don’ts

Do not carry prohibited items like mobile phone, calculator, digital watches and other electronic gadgets
Do not carry food items to the exam centre
Do not carry/wear any item containing metal
Do not leave the exam centre without invigilator's permission

MAH MBA CET Result 2023

MAH CET result cum scorecard will be released by Maharashtra CET on its website. Candidates who shall have appeared for the exam will have to download their MAH CET MBA scorecards to apply for CAP round. Given below is the process to download MAH CET 2023 result:

MAH CET CAP or Counselling 2023

MAH MBA CET includes counselling which is called Centralised Admission Process (CAP). The CAP is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell for allotment of seats to MAH CET test takers in participating institutes. Students from outside Maharashtra are required to have a valid scores of CAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA to be eligible to apply for admissions to Maharashtra management colleges under MAH CET counselling.

Candidates are required to register for MAH CET counselling process on Maharashtra CET website before the due date. Listed below are key points candidates must know about MAH CET MBA counselling.

MAH CET counselling takes place in three rounds for both Maharashtra State and Outside Maharashtra State candidates
MAH CET counselling registration fees (for non-MAH CET students) is INR 1,000 to be paid at the time of filling the application online. For Reserved category students to fee is INR 800.
Upon selection for admission, the candidate is required to visit designated counselling centres for document verification

MAH CET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

MAH CET Eligibility Criteria can be checked below before applying for the entrance test:

Nationality: Candidate who is a resident of India and who belongs to India (NRI, OCI, PIO) can apply for this exam.
Educational Qualification: Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
Appearing: Candidates who are in final year of graduation are also eligible to apply.
Marks Required: Candidate must have secured minimum aggregate score of 50% marks and (45% marks for OBC /PwD of Maharashtra state).

MAH CET Syllabus (Released)

The syllabus of the entrance test is based on the graduation level. The exam conducting authority has provided the complete syllabus on the DTE, Maharashtra website. The syllabus is comprised of the topics from the subjects such as Logical/Abstract Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension.

Logical/Abstract Reasoning:

This shall include the questions to measure how quickly and accurately you can think. This test is designed to assess the candidate’s ability skills such as how to interpret number sequences or the relationships and questions based on verbal reasoning.

Quantitative Aptitude:

This shall include the questions to know how fast and accurate you can work with numbers, do numerical calculations, understand various arithmetic problems involving ratio and proportion, percentage, etc. This test also helps to measure your power of quantitative reasoning, interpretation of tables, common graphs, and charts.

Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension:

This shall include passages with questions based on their contents to test your comprehension. Your English Language ability would be tested through questions on grammar, vocabulary, sentence completion, synonyms, antonyms, comprehension of passages etc. Your English language ability would be tested through questions on the understanding of the contents of the passage and choice of appropriate words, phrases, expressions and similar language skills.

MAH CET Exam Pattern (Released)

The complete exam pattern for MAH CET is given below:

Mode of Exam: It will be held through online mode.
Medium: The question paper will be asked in English language.
Duration: 150 minutes will be allotted for the complete exam.
Maximum Marks: The complete question paper will be of 200 marks.
Number of Questions: 200 questions will be asked in the exam.
Type of Questions: Multiple choice questions will be asked in the exam.
Negative Marking: No negative marking in the exam.
