Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery(BAMS)

- A Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline is also necessary.
- For Teaching Assistantship-cum-Scholarship, candidates must have a valid GATE score.
Full-Time Non-Sponsored/ Sponsored Research Scholar
- Candidates must be available full-time for at least three years.
- Research or Teaching assistantships may be available for candidates from the institute's funds or research projects. Sponsored candidates are not eligible for these assistantships.
Part-Time Sponsored Research Scholar
- Applicants must complete at least two semesters of residential work at VJTI.
- Sponsored candidates must submit a sponsorship letter from their organization.

Additional requirements include:

A valid score in UGC-NET/CSIR-NET/ISLET/GATE/INSPIRE or a JRF holder from recognized bodies like CSIR, UGC, ICAR, etc., can be exempt from the written test.
Female Ph.D. candidates and persons with disabilities (more than 40% disability) may be allowed an extension of two years, subject to a maximum of ten years for program completion.

Candidates should submit their applications with the necessary documents, including marksheets, valid entrance exam scores, and, if applicable, caste or disability certificates. The fees for sponsored candidates are INR 1,17,051, while non-sponsored candidates pay INR 92,051.
