VSAT stands for Vignan's Scholastic Aptitude Test. It is an online exam conducted by Vignan University. This exam is conducted for admissions into Engineering / Pharmacy courses at Vignan University. The test is conducted in 5 different sections each carries 1 mark with total 120 questions. However, there is no negative marking done in this test. Candidates can choose between mathematics/Biology depending upon the streams which they would want them to be considered for admissions.

Application Process

Applicants can procure the application form through the following means:

  • Candidates Can Apply Through Online https://www.vignan.ac.in/ug.php#
  • Direct - Candidates can obtain the applications by post from the university by sending a demand draft in favor of "Vignan University, Payable at Guntur". The application form can be procured even at any of the Vignan University offices at Hyderabad, Eluru , Rajahmundry, Vishakhapatnam and Vijaywada.
  • Post offices / Axis Bank Branches – Application form can also be obtained from selected post offices/Axis Bank Branches across the states of Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Bihar, Jharkand, Chattisgarh.
  • Download – Application form can also be downloaded from the university website.
  • If the candidates choose to download the application form from the university website, they should enclose the demand draft along with the application form and then dispatch.

Engineering

Bachelor of Technology

Eligibility

  • Candidates born on or after 1st July, 1998 and a pass in above Intermediate or its equivalent with minimum B2 grade / CGPA of 7.0 in Andhra Pradesh or above 60% aggregate marks in Telangana State are eligible to appear for the admission test.
  • Admission to B.Tech. / B.Pharm programmes will be through Vignan's Scholastic Aptitude Test, V-SAT an on-line test, conducted by Vignan's Deemed to be University on all India basis.
  • Candidates qualified in AP or TS EAMCET / JEE(Mains) / JEE(Advanced) with a minimum of B2 grade / CGPA of 7.0 in Andhra Pradesh or above 60% aggregate marks in Telangana State in the +2 / Intermediate examination.

Preparation Tips

  • The syllabus of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for this entrance test is based on Class 11 and 12 syllabuses for these subjects. Therefore, it is important that the candidate gives utmost attention to these subjects, a major chunk of preparation would be done.
  • The difficulty level of the test would be between the difficulty level of JEE (Mains) and EAMCET. Therefore, for effective preparation, students can consult JEE (main) books.
  • Along with studying the subject matter, it is important to solve previous years question papers as it would give an idea of the pattern of questions.
  • Candidates can join a coaching institute for the entrance test preparation as it would help accelerate preparations and would give peer group which would help in assessing candidate's position amongst a group of candidates.
