MAT May 2022 

Registration has been started. Management Aptitude Test (MAT 2022) is a national level entrance exam. It is conducted by the All India Management Association four times in one year. Through MAT entrance examination, the admission will be offered in management courses such as MBA and PGDM. Many B-Schools of India consider the MAT score for providing the admission in their campuses. It is conducted in February, May, September and December months. MAT February 2022 Result has been declared. Here, the complete details on MAT 2021 are published including its admission procedure.

MAT 2022 Sep Exam: Testing Modes & Key Difference
AIMA is conducting Sep MAT 2022 in three testing modes as under:

  1. Remote Proctored Internet Based Test (IBT): You can appear in IBT MAT from your Home
  2. Paper Based Test (PBT): Paper Pen based MAT 2022 exam is conducted at test centres
  3. Computer Based Test (CBT): Computer Based MAT 2022 exam is conducted at test centres

For September MAT 2022, AIMA will conduct two separate Computer Based Tests (CBTs) which are conducted at test centres

 

Sep MAT 2022 Exam: Test Taking Options
You can take one or more than one type of MAT September 2022 Exams in different modes. Following combinations are offered by AIMA to appear in different testing modes:

 

1. IBT Testing Options: Appear in one or two IBT Sept MAT Exams

  • One Remote Proctored MAT Internet Based Test (MAT IBT) or
  • Two Remote Proctored MAT Internet Based Test (MAT IBT) 

2. PBT + IBT Testing Options: Can choose one or a Combination of PBT+IBT

  • Paper Based Test (PBT) or
  • Paper Based Test and MAT Remote Proctored Internet Based Test (PBT + IBT) 

3. PBT + CBT Testing Options: Can choose one or Two PBT or a combination of PBT+CBT

  • Two Paper Based Tests, or
  • Paper Based Test and MAT Computer Based Test (PBT + CBT) 

4.  CBT Testing Options: Choose One or Two CBT MAT exams or CBT+IBT

  • One Computer Based Test (CBT) or Two Computer Based Tests (2 CBTs)
  • Computer Based Test and Remote Proctored Internet Based Test (CBT+IBT) 

IBT, CBT or PBT Testing Mode? Which is better option…
MBA Exam experts and past MAT toppers suggest the candidates to opt for IBT Mode due to the uncertainty in Paper based and computer based exams at the test centres. In the current situation, IBT from their home is the best option after complying with the AIMA norms. The difficulty level in IBT exam is similar to PBT and CBT mode of exam. 

MAT 2022 IBT Mode: Important Guidelines and Benefits
MAT IBT mode is the new type of exam which you can take from your home. You can opt for 2 IBT 2022 Sep MAT tests by paying an extra MAT Registration fees of Rs.1125/- in addition to Rs.1850/- for one test.

  • If you are opting for one IBT MAT 2022, you can select 5 management institutes where your scores will be sent free for admission
  • If you are opting for 2 IBT MAT 2022 exams, you will have the benefit of selecting additional 2 Management Institutes for sending your scores in addition to existing option of selecting 5 Management Institutes. It means you can select 7 Management Institutes in total

The MAT IBT exam is scheduled in morning and evening time slots on each exam date. There is facility to appear in one IBT mode exam or two IBT Mode MAT tests with extra registration fee of Rs.1125/-.

 

MAT May 2022: IBT, CBT and PBT Registration  
Fresh registrations for IBT, CBT and PBT Mode MAT May 2022 exams are open on AIMA MAT website. The dates for MAT Registrations will remain open till few days before the each exam date. Read below all the important details about IBT Exam, CBT Exam and PBT MAT exams
To avoid any untoward incident due to Covid-19 pandemic, AIMA has introduced Remote Proctored Internet Based Test (MAT IBT) 2022 exam, apart from the regular Paper based and computer based  exam. Candidates can appear in the IBT mode exam from the convenience of their home instead of going to an exam centre for CBT exam, while PBT remains centre based exam.

Registration Fee:

  • The registration fee is Rs 2650 (For Both PBT and CBT) & Rs. 1550 (For PBT or CBT) for all categories.
  • The registration fee can be paid through credit card/debit card/net banking.

Eligibility Criteria

It is mandatory to fulfill the basic eligibility criteria given below to appear in MAT 2021. However, each management institution has their own eligibility criteria to offer admission.

  • Qualifying Exam: Applying candidate should graduate in any discipline from a recognized university/institution.
  • Age Limit: There is no minimum and maximum age limit to appear in the exam.
  • Appearing Candidates: Those appearing in final year of graduation are also eligible to apply.
  • of Attempts: There is no limit of attempts to apply in MAT.

MAT Exam Pattern 2022

Check the MAT 2022 exam pattern which is given below:

  • Mode: The exam will be conducted in both (online and offline) modes.
  • Duration: The exam will be of about 150 minutes.
  • Type of Questions: Multiple choice questions will be asked in the exam.
  • Number of Questions: Total of 200 questions will be asked in the exam.
  • Sections: It will be consisting of five sections.

 MAT Preparation Tips

  • Make a schedule/time table in such a way that every subject will get covered while exam preparation.
  • Try to give most of your time for self study. It will help to score good marks.
  • Practice mock papers or solve previous exam papers as many as possible in a short duration of time. It will increase your speed of solving questions.
  • Revision is very necessary so, assign your last 2 or 3 days only for revision.
  • Be confident while preparing for the exam and also take care of your health.

MAT Eligibility Criteria 2022

AIMA is the examination authority that declares the eligibility criteria of MAT. It is strictly advised to all the candidates to read all the conditions carefully before applying. The eligibility conditions for MAT 2022 standardized test are discussed below:

MAT May 2022 Registration has been started from 11th March 2021. Candidates must fill all the details carefully and upload scanned images of photograph and signature in the specified format.

Qualification Criteria:

  • Qualifying Exam: Minimum qualification required to sit in the examination is graduation. The candidates may complete their graduation from the recognized University in any of the course like BA, B.Sc., B.Com., B.Tech. etc.

  • Appearing Candidates: The final year graduation appearing candidates can also apply for the MAT 2022.

Percentage Criteria:

Achieve minimum passing marks in graduation to appear the examination. The percentage criteria of graduation vary MIs to MIs. The candidates are suggested to refer the information brochures of particular MI’s/University for the same.

Age Criteria:

  • There is no age limitation for MAT 2021 examination. As per AIMA rules, the candidate of any age can appear the exam.

  • The candidates those have no work experience can also give the examination.

Number of Attempts:

  • Candidates can attend the MAT 2021 examination as many times as possible. There is no restriction for the number of attempts, but try to qualify the examination in the first time only.

  • The PBT and CBT examination of MAT is scheduled four times in a year, the aspirants can attend all the four examinations if not satisfied with the scores.

MAT Syllabus 2022

The MAT syllabus is prepared from the subjects mentioned in the exam pattern of this article as:

Candidates should study these topics to the depth to score good in the exam. The authority does not provide any particular syllabus for the exam.

MAT exam pattern 2022 mentions the structure of MAT question paper including subjects, type of questions, marking scheme and other test details. The question paper of MAT 2021 includes sections - Indian and Global Environment, Language Comprehension, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Mathematical Skills, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning. MAT exam is conducted for 2.5 hours. MAT May 2021 will be conducted on May 05, 2021 in Paper-Based Test (PBT) mode and on May 18, 2021 for Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.

  • For each correct answer, one mark is awarded. question carries one mark

  • For each wrong attempt, 0.25 marks are deducted 

  • Every section of MAT Question Paper carries equal weightage of 40 marks

  • No marks are deducted or awarded for unanswered questions
