Eligibility Criteria

VIT has published the VITEEE 2024 eligibility criteria on their official website, viteee.vit.ac.in. Prospective candidates can find the detailed eligibility requirements for VITEEE 2024 on this page. Only those who fulfill the specified criteria are eligible to complete the VITEEE 2024 application form. The eligibility guidelines include aspects such as nationality, age, qualifying examination, required marks, and mandatory subjects. Students who do not meet these criteria will not be permitted to take the VIT entrance exam.

Nationality

• Candidate should be a resident/non-resident Indian Nationals/PIO/ OCL are eligible to apply.

• Foreign students can apply under foreign category.

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have an aggregate of 60% in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics/Biology in class 12.

• Candidates belonging to SC/ST, Jammu and Karishma, North Indian states should have an aggregate of 50% in the above-mentioned subjects.

Age Limit

• Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after July 1, 2001 are eligible to apply for VITEEE 2024.

• The date of birth on the High School/SSC/X Certificate will be considered official. Candidates must present the original certificate as age proof during counselling/admission; failure to do so will result in disqualification

Qualifying Exam

• Applicants for Undergraduate Engineering admission in 2024 must have a minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in their qualifying exam (+2/Intermediate).

• For SC/ST candidates and those from Jammu & Kashmir/Ladakh and North Eastern states (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura), the minimum requirement is 50%. A community/nativity certificate must be presented during counselling; otherwise, admission will not be considered

Required Marks 

• The candidate must have secured a minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying exam.

• However, for SC/ST candidates and those from Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and the North Eastern states, the minimum requirement is 50%.

Syllabus

Physics:

Laws of Motion , Work, Energy and Power, Properties of Matter, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic, Effects of Electric Current, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Current, Optics, Dual Nature of Radiation and Atomic Physics and Nuclear Physics Semiconductor Devices and their Applications.

Chemistry:

Atomic Structure, Inorganic (p,d and f – Block Elements), Coordination Chemistry and Solid State Chemistry, Thermodynamics, Chemical Equilibrium and Chemical Kinetics, Electrochemistry, Isomerism in Organic Compounds, Alcohols and Ethers, Carbonyl Compounds, Carboxylic Acids and their derivatives and Organic Nitrogen Compounds and Biomolecules (Carbohydrates, Amino acids and Lipid).

Maths:

Matrices and its Applications, Trigonometry and Complex Numbers,, Vector Algebra,Analytical Geometry of two dimensions, Analytical Geometry of Three Dimensions, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus and its Applications, Differential Equations, Probability Distributions and Discrete Mathematics.

Biology:

Taxonomy,Cell and Molecular Biology,Reproduction,Genetics and evolution,Human health and diseases,Biochemistry,Plant physiology,Human physiology,Biotechnology and its applications,Biodiversity, ecology and environment
