Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who succeed in satisfying the conditions below as on the last date of application submission shall be considered eligible to apply.

1. Candidates should be a citizen of India.
2. Candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu must submit Nativity certificate (except those who have studied in TN since 8th standard up to 12th)
3. Other state candidates do not need to submit any Nativity Certificate.

Criteria for 3 Year B.E (Lateral) Degree

1. Candidates who hold diplomas must have passed their examination in an appropriate branch of engineering of the State Board of Technical Education and Training, TN with min. 55% marks (for General), 50% (for Backward classes, 45% for (MBC/DNC) and mere pass (for SC/ SCA/ ST).
2. Criteria for B. Voc Degree
3. A pass in 12th class from Tamil Nadu State Board.

Criteria for M.E. / M.Tech. Degree

1. Candidate must have passed in a Bachelor’s degree in the same discipline or any other university.

Criteria for Diploma in Mining Engineering

1. Only male candidates can apply.
2. SSLC pass from the Board of Secondary Education.
3. A pass in 10th standard with min. 35 marks in the exam.

Question Pattern of Annamalai University Engineering Entrance Exam

The exam consists of 120 objective type questions that have to be completed within 120 minutes. Out of the four options, the candidate has to mark the right one in the OMR sheet provided for which he will be awarded with 1 mark and also one mark will be reduced for each wrong response. The questions of the entrance exam mainly cover the syllabus the candidate has studied in their Higher Secondary Classes. There will be questions from the core subjects i.e., Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
