NCERT CEE 2023 - National Council of Educational Research and Training Common Entrance Exam acronym as NCERT CEE is conducted by the NCERT for providing admission to:

NCERT CEE 2023 Eligibility

Educational Qualification

For B.Sc B.Ed Course

  • Aspiring candidates seeking admission to Physical Science Group must have passed Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) (M stands for Mathematics or Statistics) and those seeking admission to Biological Science Group (CBZ) must have passed Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) (B stands for Biology or Biotechnology) at +2 level. AND
  • Candidates must have passed +2 / Hr. Sec./ Sr. Sec. or any equivalent examination recognized by University/ Board with at least 50% marks in aggregate of qualifying examination (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/ PH candidates). The qualifying examination should be recognized by the affiliating universities of the RIEs.

For B.A B.Ed Course

  • Aspiring Candidates must have passed +2/ Hr. Secondary/ Sr. Secondary or equivalent examination in Science and Commerce streams or in Arts streams with at least 50% marks in aggregate (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/ PH candidates as applicable).

For M.Sc - M.Ed Course

  • Aspiring candidates seeking admission to M.Sc Ed. (Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics) must have passed with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) (M stands for Mathematics or Statistics) at +2 level. AND
  • Candidates must have passed +2 / Hr. Sec./ Sr. Sec. or any equivalent examination recognized by University/ Board with at least 50% marks in aggregate of qualifying examination (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/PH candidates). The qualifying examination should be recognized by the affiliating university of RIE Mysore (University of Mysore).

For B.Ed Course

  • Candidates with at least 50% marks in Bachelor’s Degree and /or in the Master’s Degree in Science/ Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science or Mathematics or in Bachelor’s Degree and /or in the Master’s Degree in Social Science/Humanities are eligible for admission to the program (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/PH candidates).

For M.Ed Course

Candidates seeking admission to the M.Ed program should have obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade (relaxation by 5% for SC/ST/PH Candidates) in the following programs/courses from any University / College / Institute recognized by affiliating universities:

  • B.Ed
  • B.A B.Ed / B.A.Ed / B.Sc B.Ed / B.Sc.Ed
  • B.El.Ed
  • D.El.Ed with a bachelor's degree in Arts/Science (With 50% marks in each)

B.Ed - M.Ed (Integrated) Courses

  • A Post-Graduate degree in science / social science/ humanity from a recognized institution with a minimum of 55%marks or equivalent grade (relaxation by 5% for SC/ ST/ PH candidates). 

NCERT CEE 2023 Syllabus

NCERT CEE will consist of questions from the following subjects/topics

Language Proficiency indicates specific areas like comprehension, rearranging sentences, selecting suitable words for the blanks, finding out errors in parts of the sentences, finding out equivalent meaning to the given phrases, finding out suitable words for the incomplete sentences, sequencing, grammar which includes synonyms, antonyms, idioms, prepositions, tenses, articles.

Teaching Aptitude will cover specific areas like attitude towards education, children, and the teaching profession; interest in teaching; leadership qualities & group management; emotional & social adjustment; intrapersonal & interpersonal skills; and general awareness of contemporary issues pertaining to school education.

Reasoning Ability indicating specific areas like verbal non-verbal reasoning, missing numbers, number series, letter series, theme finding, jumbling, analogy, the odd one out, arranging the statements in a sequential form, statement, and conclusions, syllogism, logical problems, establishing relationships. 

 

NCERT CEE 2023 Pattern

NCERT CEE will consist of separate questions for the given syllabus for the following groups:

Group-A

  • B.Sc B.Ed / B.A B.Ed / M.Sc Ed
  • The level of questions will be such as expected of the candidate completing higher secondary/senior secondary education

Group-B

  • B.Ed / B.Ed - M.Ed (Integrated)
  • The level of questions will be such as expected of the candidate completing graduation

Group-C

  • M.Ed
  • The level of questions will be such as expected of the candidate completing graduation and professional education level

There will be 80 questions to be completed in 120 minutes time as given below:

  • Language Proficiency in English 20 questions
  • Teaching Aptitude / Attitude 30 questions
  • Reasoning Ability 30 questions

The medium of Test Booklets - only in English and Hindi (except for language proficiency)

Correct answers will carry 2 marks each, the Wrong answers will carry a negative marking of (minus) -0.5 marks each and the Questions unattended will carry no marks.
