The National Board of Examinations has postponed NEE MDS 2022 dates to June. As per the official notification, NEET MDS 2022 will be held on June 4. The exam date has been postpone due to delay in the admission process for the current academic sesion. Earlier the NEET MDS 2022 exam was scheduled to be held on December 19, 2021. NBE will release other important dates and details of the crucial events of the exam in the information brochure. The brochure will be released on the official website, nbe.edu.in. The dates of registration, application deadline, the release of admit card and result will be announced in due course of time. NEET MDS application form 2022 is expected to be released in the month of March 2022. The eligible candidates will be able to apply once the registration link will be active on the official website of NBE. Those who have Bachelor's Degree in Dental Surgery and completed a one-year Internship from a recognised Dental college are eligible to apply for the exam. Candidates must note that only online applications will be accepted for NEET MDS 2022 exam.
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Masters of Dental Surgery abbreviated as NEET MDS is an entrance exam conducted by NBE for providing admissions to all the postgraduate dental courses offered by the institutions in India. NEET MDS exam is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination conducted annually in online mode. Except for NEET MDS, no other exams, either at the state or institution level are valid for admission in PG dental courses. The scores are accepted by most of the dental colleges across the country. A total of 6,501 Masters of Dental Surgery (MDS) seats are offered under 50% All India Quota (AIQ), 50% state quota seats, 100% seats in deemed/central universities and private colleges through the exam.

The admission process for NEET MDS 2022 starts with registering for the examination. Aspirants of the PG entrance test are required to register themselves on the official website of NBE. After completion of the registration process, candidates can proceed to fill the NEET MDS 2022 application form. The following sequence of events shall be observed while filling the online application form for NEET MDS 2022 exam:
NBE opens the edit window to modify certain details in the application form for NEET MDS. Those who submit the applications for NEET MDS 2022 within the given deadline will be allowed to avail the facility to correct details.
Candidates who wish to apply for NEET MDS 2021 are advised to read and understand the criteria set by NBE. It is also important that a candidate meets the requirements set by NBE for the exam. If at any point in time NBE finds out that the candidates do not meet the eligibility requirements for NEET MDS 2022, his/her candidature will be cancelled. The eligibility criteria for NEET MDS 2022, as per MDS Course Regulations 2017 notified by the Dental Council of India with prior approval of MoHFW is as follows :
Applicants must not be younger than 20 years of age
They must possess a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from a University/Institute recognised by the DCI
They must be registered with the Dental Council of India (DCI) or State Dental Council (SDC) (permanent/provisional)
They must have completed 12 months of compulsory rotatory internship on or before March 31, 2022
NEET MDS syllabus is considered one of the basic tools to scale up the preparation for the exam. All the subjects given in NEET MDS syllabus should be prepared well to qualify for the exam. NEET MDS question paper is divided into two parts, A & B. Part A comprises 100 marks while part B has140 marks questions. The subjects of the syllabus for NEET MDS 2022 are as follows.

As per NEET MDS 2022 pattern, the exam will be conducted in online mode. The test paper will comprise 240 objective questions and candidates will be given three hours to attempt them. As per the marking scheme, candidates will get 4 marks for every correct answer and there will be a deduction of 1 mark for a wrong response.
