JEE Main 2023 Paper 2 exam dates have been announced. NTA will conduct the exams in two sessions. JEE Main 2023 session 1 exam will be conducted from January 28 while session 2 exam will be held from April 12. The exact dates for the paper 2 exams will be notified in the admit card of candidates. JEE Main 2023 registration paper 2 for the second session started on June 1. The last date to fill JEE Main application form 2023 is March 7.

JEE Main 2023 Paper 2 Important Exam Day Instructions

It is clear the Part 1 and Part 2 of the JEE Main 2023 Paper 2 will be held in the online mode and the part 2 that is the drawing section will be held in sheets – offline mode.

  • 30 questions: Mathematics (Part-1) = 120 marks — online
  • 50 questions: Aptitude test (Part-2) = 200 marks — online
  • 2 questions in drawing = 70 marks — Offline

Now for the exam day here are the special instruction s for the candidates who will appear in the paper 2 exam:

  1. Own Geometry Set Allowed: Candidates are allowed their own crayons, color pencils, erasers, pencil colors, pencils etc.
  2. Water Colors Not Allowed: Colors are allowed, however, watercolors will not be allowed.

These 2 exceptions are available for the paper 2 candidates that are not given to the paper 1 appearing candidates.

JEE Main 2023 Paper 2 Admit Card

Now, there is no separate admit card for paper 1 or paper 2. You get 1 admit card that clearly mentions for which paper you have applied for. This one admit card will be valid for both paper 1 and paper 2 for the candidates who will appear for both the papers in JEE Main 2023 Paper 2.
JEE Main 2023 a dmit card is available in the online mode only. Candidates have to log in using their application ID and password to get the admit card. On the admit card you will be able to see the following:

  • Final exam center details
  • exam timing, personal details
  • JEE Main 2023 roll number
  • your photograph
  • signature
  • other exam related instructions.

If you have applied for both paper 1 and 2, then you will be able to check the schedule of both the exam on your admit card. You have to appear at the test center as per the schedule in your JEE Main 2023 admit card.

JEE Main 2023 Paper 2 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern of JEE Main 2023 Paper 2 will be quite different from that of JEE Main 2023 Paper 1. Thus, it is important to know what will be the pattern of the exam, from the brief explanation below:

JEE Main 2023 Paper 2 Application Form Correction – Over

NTA will be opening the application form correction window as the last opportunity to rectify any mistakes in the application forms. Candidates need to log in using their application number and password to make corrections in their application forms.

This is a one time opportunity. Thereafter the details finalised on the form will be only used for admissions.

JEE Main 2023 Application Form – Over

The JEE Main 2023 Application form will be available in the online mode only in the official website of nta.ac.in. Now, the process of application for Paper 1 and Paper 2 will remain the same. There will be one application form available and candidates have to select for which paper (1 or 2 or both) they wish to appear for.

  • To fill the application form candidates have to register first and then fill asked details like Aadhaar details, personal and educational information, uploading documents etc.
  • Next, to submit the filled in application form candidates have to pay the application fee online.
  • On paying the application fee, an acknowledgment page will appear containing application ID.
  • Note the application number.
  • Take print out of the submitted application form, do not send it to the authorities. Keep it for your reference.

JEE Mains Paper 2 Eligibility Criteria 2023

There is no difference in JEE Main Paper 1 and Paper 2 admissions. Just that if you qualify Paper 1 you will be able to take admission in B.Tech/B.E. courses and become eligible for JEE Advanced examination. However, if you qualify the Paper 2 exam you will be able to take admission in B.Arch/B.Plan courses at institutes other than the IITs. If you qualify in both the exam, you have to select your course of study ( B.Tech/B.E. or B.Arch/B.Plan).

The qualification criteria to appear in this exam is:

 

  • 12th Class/Equivalent Exam Passed Out Candidates in the year 2020 or 2021. Candidate must have passed the exam in desired 5 subjects including Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
  • 12th Class/Equivalent Exam Appearing Candidates in 2022.
  • As per the latest notification, the candidates must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also 50% marks in aggregate in their CBSE Class 12th Result.
  • Diploma Holders who have already passed or are in their final year of pursuing Degree.

Age Limit – No age limit.

Number of Attempts – No attempt limits.

JEE Mains B.Arch Syllabus 2023

If you desire to get admission in B.Arch courses through JEE Mains, you need to mind map the prescribed syllabus for result-oriented preparation.

Syllabus for Paper 2 can be divided into following parts:

Sketching of scenes and activities from memory of urbanscape (public space, street scenes, monuments, market, festivals, recreational spaces, ect.), landscape (riverfronts, plants, jungles, trees, etc.) and rural life.
Design and drawing of geometrical or abstract shapes and patterns in pencil.
Transformation of forms both 2D and 3D union, rotation, subtraction, development of surfaces and volumes, Generation of Plan, elevations and 3 D views of objects. 

Part-III (Planning)

General Awareness regarding development issues, critical thinking and analytical skills, graphs, charts and map reading skills, government programs/schemes etc., Comprehension, simple statistics, CBSE class X Social Sciences topics.

Note: For the aptitude test, candidates will have to bring along their own geometry box, pencils, erasers, colour pencils, and crayons.

JEE Main Paper 2 Exam Pattern 2022

Candidates are advised to go through the exam pattern along with the JEE Main syllabus 2022 to get an idea about the various details related to the paper. Details like mode of the exam, duration, types of questions, etc are provided in the exam pattern of JEE Main 2019 paper 2.
