It's an area in which one looks closer at the social issues, people, emotions, environment and everything connected with it. It helps in presenting an outlook which is there but not easily perceived. Therefore on of its role is to provide opportunities for change in thought, appreciation etc. of the message behind that particular art. Arts is that field of study which will help you increase awareness of self (mind, body, and voice) and others (collaboration and empathy). Undergraduate (BA)
BA is an undergrad program of three years. It includes subjects like philosophy, economics, social science, liberal arts, humanities, geography, sociology etc.
Student needs to study five compulsory subjects along with a few elective subjects in Bachelors of Arts.
For student to pursue BA they need minimum passing marks 40% in class 12th from any board .They are several entrance exams like NPAT, BHU, UET etc
Post Graduate (MA)
Masters of Arts is a postgraduate program of two years in field of humanities, arts and liberal arts. Those who have completed a BA degree with 50% or percentages according to their courses. The MA course is further divided into four semesters; admissions are usually done through entrance exam such as TISSNET, IPU CET, PU CET, JNUEE etc. Students require to qualify entrance exam for masters.
PHD
PHD is a doctoral degree of 5 years (min in 3 years) a detailed course in various forms. The eligibility is an M.PHIL or ma qualification in arts with 55% or CGPA. Students need to hold MA degree to get admission for phd course.
