MH SSET 2022

Govt. of Maharashtra has been conducting Superspeciality entrance examination (MHSSET) since 1990, for admission to all DM & MCh Superspeciality courses at the Medical colleges/Institutions in the state of Maharashtra in the academic year 2022-2023.

Candidates should get the brochure for MH-SSET 2022 because it contains detail procedures of online application form for entrance examination as well as rules for admission to various DM & MCh Superspeciality Courses, subject to eligibility criteria.

Maharashtra Superspeciality Entrance Test 2022 Eligibility

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates who wish to appear in this Medical PG Entrance Exam must possess a recognized postgraduate degree MD / MS (or its equivalent) from a medical college recognized by MCI.
  • Candidates who have appeared MD / MS or equivalent examinations are also eligible to submit application forms.
  • However, they will be considered for selection, on the production of passing certificate of post-graduation degree on the date of preference form filling and counseling.

Other Eligibility Conditions

The candidate must be an Indian national.

(a) (i) The candidate domiciled of State of Maharashtra by “Permanent Residence” or by “Birth”, (The Domicile by choice or for Educational purpose or mentioned as intends to stay will not be considered as domiciled of the State of Maharashtra) and (ii) The candidate who has passed post-graduate degree MD / MS (or it's equivalent) examination from the medical colleges/institutions situated within the state of Maharashtra, will be considered first for the selection to the super specialty courses.

(b) Candidates who fulfill the conditions as per 2(a)(i) & 2(a)(ii) above will be first considered for preparation of the merit list. In case a sufficient number of candidates in the above category is not available for admission, candidates not fulfilling the condition as per 2. (a) will be considered for the remaining seats, based on the merit in the MH SSET Examination.

  • A permanent Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC)/MCI registration is a precondition for appearing for MH-SSET.
  • The minimum percentage of marks secured by the candidates in the MH-SSET for the purpose of eligibility for admission to Superspeciality courses shall be 50% for all the candidates.
  • A candidate who has already acquired a Superspeciality degree course in any one discipline and who has already completed the course is not eligible to apply for any other discipline
  • A Candidate who is currently undergoing a super specialty course in one discipline is not eligible to apply for any other discipline.
