Jharkhand Engineering Entrance Competitive Exam

Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board is a State level entrance exam organized by Government of Jharkhand for admission into the first year / first semester degree level professional course in Engineering(B. Tech), M.B.B.S., Dairy Technology, Agriculture Engineering, Forestry, Bachelor of Veterinary Sc. & Animal Husbandry, Homeopathic, Ayurvedic, B. Sc Degree Courses.

This exam is held in a pen-paper based test mode for students of different streams for Under-Graduates, Post-Graduates and Diploma Certified.

JEECE 2023 entrance exams will be administered by the JCECEB towards the B.Tech. course admission in the Governmental and Private institutions in the state of Jharkhand. Some of the B.Tech. specialized courses for which the JEECE filling is required are as follows:

For all B.Tech. courses other than Dairy Technology and Agriculture Engineering, the B.Tech. admission is carried out via JEECE Filling through JEE Mains Scores/ ranks and for Dairy Technology and Agriculture Engineering, the admission is done through the JEECE Exam.

Application fee

The Non-refundable Application fee of JEECE 2023 for B.E/B. Tech programmes is described below:

  • For General/BC-I/BC-II candidates – RS. 900
  • For ST/SC/Female candidates – RS. 450

JEECE Exam Pattern 2023

Candidates must check the exam pattern in this section.

  1. Mode of Exam: The exam will be conducted through online mode (computer based).
  2. Types of Questions: Objective type questions will be asked in the exam.
  3. No of Questions: 50 questions will be asked from each subject.
  4. Medium of Exam: The exam will be conducted in Online Mode (CBT).  The test will be conducted in both English and Hindi languages.
  5. Marking Scheme: 1 mark will be awarded for each right answer.
  6. Negative Marking: ¼ marks will be deducted from total score.
  7. Duration of exam: 2 hours will be allotted for Physics and Chemistry and one hour will be allotted for Mathematics.

Eligibility

  1. Nationality: Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  2. Qualifying Exam: Applying candidate must have passed his/her 10+2 level or its equivalent from Jharkhand state Board or any other recognized board or university.
  3. Qualifying Subjects: Candidate in his qualifying exam must have passed with the compulsory subjects of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.
  4. Minimum Marks: Candidate must have passed with minimum marks of 45% for general and 40% for reserved candidates in their qualifying exam.
  5. Age Criteria: No upper or lower age limit is prescribed.
  6. Domicile: Applying candidate must hold permanent or local residential certificate of Jharkhand state.

Physics:

General Properties of Matter, Wave motion, Sound, Measurement and Kinematics, Mechanics, Laws of Motion, Gravitation, Oscillations, Thermodynamics, Electron Physics, Radiation, Light and Optics, Semiconductor Devices, Atomic Physics, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effect of Current and Magnetism.

Chemistry:

Atomic Structure, Periodic Properties of elements and Hydrogen, S-Block elements, P-Block elements, D-Block and F-Block Elements, Electrochemistry, Chemical Equilibrium, Stereochemistry, Laws of Gases, Halogens, Nitrogen, Functional Groups Containing Oxygen (organic chemistry), Purification and Characterization of Organic Compounds, Chemical Kinetics, Polymers, Redox Reactions, Environmental Chemistry.

Maths:

Complex Numbers, Sequences and Series, Binomial Theorem, Sets, Relations and Functions, Matrices and Determinants, Combinations and Permutations, Linear equations, Algebra, Trigonometry, 3- D Geometry, Integration and differentiation, Statistics, Vectors, Differential Equations, Lines, Circles and Conic sections.
