Avinashilingam University (AVINUTY) is a women's Deemed University in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. It was started in 1957 by the Avinashilingam Education Trust found by T. S. Avinashilingam Chettiar as Avinashilingam Home Science College for Women which later grew into a university. Avinashilingam University Admissions 2021, grants admission to various Undergraduate, Postgraduate, B.Ed, B.P.Ed, and M.P.Ed courses. Counselling

Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science & Higher Education for Women will begin counselling for all eligible and qualified students. Candidates are expected to attend the counseling round on the date specified at the venue to ensure their admission. Candidates will carry along the original copies of the aforementioned documents along with their self-tested photocopies. Documents needed during the counseling process are listed below.

  1. Migration Certificate from the University last attended.
  2. Passing/Degree certificate of the last qualifying  examination
  3. Marksheet of the last qualifying degree examination
  4. Character certificate 
  5. Documentary proof for date of birth
  6. Gap certificate (if applicable)

Eligibility Criteria

For BE-

  • Passed 10+2 with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology with min. 45% marks in aggregate.

For ME-

  • A candidate must have passed graduation in relevant subject from a recognized University. 

For B.E. Admission

  1. Candidates must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission. They should have studied in regular, full time and formal stream in the school. Candidates appearing for 12th standard examinations in March/April 2017 are eligible to apply.
  2. B.E.4 yearsPassed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology
  3. Obtained at least 45% marks(40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category)in the above subjects taken together.

For M.E. Admission – Last Year

  1. Bachelors’ degree or equivalent in the relevant field with at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination.
  2. Those who are awaiting the results of their qualifying examinations will also be eligible to apply.
  3. The candidates should compulsorily produce their marksheets at the time of interview.

Admission Procedure

For B.E. Admission

Candidates have to appear for an All India Avinashilingam Engineering Entrance Examination (AAEEE 2017) conducted by the University and admissions will be made based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and the entrance examination.

For M.E. Admission – Last Year

Admission Procedures for M.E. Selection will be based on marks in B.E. / B.Tech. equivalent, an entrance examination and a personal interview. TANCET score will also be considered. Preference will be given to GATE qualified candidates. Candidates will be required to qualify at the Entrance Test conducted by the competent authority. The candidates should compulsorily produce their marksheets at the time of interview.
