POST GRADUATION DIPLOMA IN MANAGEMENT

Post Graduate Diploma in Management is a post-graduate diploma course which includes the elaborateness of different facet of management and business industry.

There are numerous branches within the broad field of engineering in post-graduation. It is based on the branches that we have selected for B.E., B. Tech. and Diploma in engineering programs.

A lot of students prefer this management course because the course curriculum is in such a way that it sharpens a student's mind to tackle the different obstacles that are faced in the workplace, studies & other aspects.

 

Program Pattern

Post-graduation degree Courses are of semester or trimester pattern. The duration of course may vary from 1 to 2 year. In the semester pattern, the 2 years consists of 4 semesters, i.e. 2 semester for each year along with an Internship for Industrial Experience.

On the other hand, in the trimester pattern the 2 years consists of 6 trimesters 3 trimester for each year. In the second year onwards students have to undertake Internships at the end of first year for minimum 2 months as per their branches and college requirement.

There are several colleges across India that offer this course in a regular modeonline mode, or through Distance Education.

Common Entrance Exams

There are different Entrance exams which candidate needs to qualify to get admissions in the Post-Graduation Diploma Program.

  • CAT: Common aptitude Test is a computer based test accepted the Central Institute such as IIM and in almost all the colleges across India.
  • MAT: Management Aptitude Test is conducted four times in a year in an online or offline mode. It is accepted in various colleges across India such as different privates and central as well like NIT, IIT, etc.
  • XAT: Xavier Aptitude Test is conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur for admission in its various management courses. It is also accepted in other colleges.
  • CMAT: Common Management Admission Test is conducted once a year in an online manner. And offers admission though this all across India.
  • GMAT:  Graduate Management Admission Test is a computer based test, which you can give at any time of the year. This test is mainly for admission in Abroad Universities but nowadays many Indian colleges have started accepting GMAT scores as well.

Eligibility

  1. Candidates seeking admission should have a Bachelor’s degree in any course with a minimum of 50% from any recognized university or institute.
  2. But in case of institutions like IIM, a minimum of 60%, should have been scored at the graduation level.
  3. There is no age limit to pursue this course. 
  4. Candidate have to appear for any entrance exam to score the minimum eligibility criteria based on the institute requirement.
  5. Candidates who qualify the entrance exams are invited by the respective institutes for personal interview (PI), written ability test (WAT) and Group discussion (GD) FOR Final Admission.
