BACHELORS OF ENGINEERING IN CERAMIC TECHNOLOGY
B.E. Ceramic Technology or Bachelor of Engineering in Ceramic Technology is an undergraduate Ceramic Technology course. The course deals with the properties, manufacture, design and applications of ceramic materials. The ceramic designers are concerned with designing various types of ceramic wares used in industries, households, institutions, corporate houses and other places.
Ceramic technologists may specialize in glass working in industries engaged in the manufacture of tableware, fiber optics, bulbs, window panes, electronics ancillaries. Specialist in structural clay work in the manufacture of enameled articles and pipes, engine parts, etc.

Future Scope
- Ceramic Designer- Working with porcelain, clay, stoneware, and bone china to design and make home ware (tile/flooring) sculptures, pottery items, cookware, and tableware.
- Ceramic Technologist- Undertaking work related to science and technology of ceramic materials. They work in R&D, quality control and production and specialize in the designing of new products or testing raw materials.
- Ceramic Research Engineer- Proper research program via technology readiness levels, practical formulation of ceramic compositions, collaborating with engineers to make sintered components, among others.
Salary
It may vary from (INR) 3 lac to 7 lac on an average per annum.
