Bachelor of Arts in Education is an undergraduate Academic Degree Course. Education is the means through which the aims and habits of a group of people lives on from one generation to the next. It can be pursued either as a Regular Course or as a Distance Education Course, the duration being the same, unless mentioned by the institute. This degree course is meant for future educators and education administrators. There are no Elective/Specializations papers in B.A.-Education course. It draws on other disciplines such as psychology and philosophy. B.A. (Education) is not to be confused with B.Ed. which might sight sound similar because of the use of the term ‘Bachelor’ and ‘Education’. However, there is a big difference amongst both in terms of course content, curriculum, duration and repute.This course also provides complete integration of content (Social Sciences and Humanities) and Pedagogy evenly distributed throughout the duration of the course.

Objective

• The Students, drawn from western region are admitted to the course every year.
• They opt for one Language (Hindi/English/Urdu/Marathi/Gujrati) and two Social Science subjects (Histroy/Geog. and Eco./Pol.Sc.) as optional to enable them to become TGT (Soc. Science) and TGT (Language)
• The medium of instruction is English but they are competent to teach through Hindi/English medium.
