IIMC Entrance Exam 2018 Process
Only Indian nationals are allowed to appear for IIMC Entrance Exam. However, five seats in each course are on offer to NRIs/NRI-sponsored candidates. Candidates falling under NRIs/NRI-sponsored category and who want to apply for both non-NRI and NRI categories need to submit separate IIMC application forms for each category.
Step 1: Fill Application Form
Candidates can fill the application form for IIMC Entrance Exam in either online (on the official website of IIMC) or offline (by downloading the form from the official website of IIMC) mode. from IIMC New Delhi campus or IIMC Dhenkanal campus. The application form can also be downloaded from the official website of IIMC. IIMC application forms needs to be filled in black ink only.
Candidates need to submit separate IIMC application form for each course. However, the official website informs, "Candidates can submit one Application Form for Journalism (Hindi) or Journalism (English) as the written entrance examination and question paper will be common for above courses. Similarly, candidates can submit one Application Form for Journalism (Urdu)/ Journalism (Odia)/Journalism (Marathi)/ Journalism (Malayalam). The written entrance examination for above courses will be conducted simultaneously."

Step 2: Download IIMC Entrance Exam 2018 Admit Card
Aspirants can download their admit card for IIMC Entrance Exam 2018 from the official website of the college. Candidates need to note that they will not be allowed to enter their examination hall if they are not carrying their valid IIMC Admittance Card that has been issued by the college.
Step 3: Give IIMC Written Entrance Exam
IIMC exam is held at an All-India level. IIMC written test is of two hours duration and there is no standardised pattern for IIMC Entrance Exam.
Step 4: Declaration of Entrance Exam Results
The results for IIMC entrance exams for Journalism, TV & Radio Journalism as well as Advertising and Public Relations courses would be declared on the official website. Candidates can check their result using their registered email ID/roll number and their date of birth.
Step 4: Appear for IIMC Group Discussion/Interview
Candidates who qualify the written test round of IIMC admissions 2018 will be called for an interview/group discussion round.
Aspirants who apply for admissions to fill NRI/NRI sponsored seats do not have to appear for IIMC written examination. But they have to appear for and clear the Group Discussion or Interview round, or both.
Step 5: Check IIMC Entrance Exam 2018 Result
The final list of shortlisted candidates is typically declared in the month of July-August. The official website informs: "The proportionate weightage between the written entrance examination and the personal interview/
group discussion is 75:25".

IIMC Entrance Exam 2018 Eligibility
The eligibility criterion for IIMC Entrance Exam 2018 is such that only Indian nationals are allowed to take IIMC entrance test for admission in PG Diploma courses. Apart from this, NRIs/NRI-sponsored candidates can apply under the International Students Quota wherein 5 seats are reserved for NRIs/NRI-sponsored candidates in each course.
As per IIMC Entrance Exam 2018 eligibility criteria only those candidates can apply for this entrance exam who possess a Bachelor’s degree (in any discipline). The bachelor’s degree can be in any discipline. Apart from this, aspirants who have already appeared or who are appearing for a degree exam can also apply for IIMC Entrance Exam.
Note: The official website states that candidates who have appeared for or are appearing for a degree examination, need to produce atleast a provisional certificate in original from their college/university before the date stipulated by IIMC, failing which the provisional admission will stand cancelled.
Age Limit:
Candidates are eligible to appear for IIMC Entrance Exam 2018 as per the below mentioned requirements:
General Category: Aspirants born on August 1, 1993 or later are eligible to apply.
SC/ST/Physically Handicapped Category: Aspirants born on August 1, 1988 or later are eligible to apply.
OBC Category: Aspirants born on August 1, 1990 or later are eligible to apply.
IIMC Entrance Exam Pattern 2018
Aspirants need to appear for IIMC Entrance Exam at their own expense. The written test for IIMC admissions 2018 (in all the courses offered by the college) is of two hours duration and the maximum marks one can secure in this exam is 85.
IIMC exam is held at an All-India level. There is no set pattern for IIMC Entrance Exam, however, aspirants appearing for Journalism course admissions will be judged on the below mentioned parameters:
