IBSAT is a National Level Management Aptitude Test that is conducted by ICFAI (Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India) University group. IBSAT is an entrance exam to seek admission to the various management programmes offered by all India’s ICFAI Business school and ICFAI University.The Examination reputedly known as the ICFAI Aptitude Test. IBSAT is of 2 hours duration and is aimed at testing the applicant’s ability in quantitative techniques, data interpretation, data adequacy, vocabulary, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension .It is conducted at 100 test centers across the country. The test scores can be considered for applying across 9 ICFAI business schools for MBA & PHD programs at Mumbai, Kolkata Pune, Gurgaon, Dehradun, Bangalore, Jaipur, Ahmedabad & Hyderabad

Exam Pattern : 

IBSAT exam paper will consist of one paper which is only in English language. The Paper will be divided into four sections namely English Usage, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation & Sufficiency. The paper will comprise in 120 questions. IBSAT is an objective type multiple-choice test.Duration of the exam will be of 2 hours. There is no negative marking in this examination. The correct answer will be awarded with one mark only. Pattern is as the following:

Syllabus

IBSAT syllabus covers English language and grammar, quantitative aptitude, analytical reasoning, data adequacy & data interpretation. There is no official syllabus for candidates appearing the exam. Based on past exam analysis following are the topics under each sections.

 

Quantitative Aptitude : Quantitative Aptitude includes topics such asNumber System, Work, Pipes and Cisterns, Discount, Average, Arithmetic Progression, Time and Work, Percentage, Algebra, Geometry, Co-ordinate Geometry, Mensuration, Probability, Installment payments, Permutation & Combination, Quadratic and linear equation, Profit & Loss, Alligation & mixtures, Time-Speed-Distance.

 

Verbal Ability : Verbal Ability includes topics such as Comprehension of passage, Syllogisms, English, Grammar, Punctuation, Incorrect words, English Usage, Sentence completion, Contextual usage, Analogies, Vocabulary, Replace the missing words, Para Jumble, Reading Comprehensions.

 

Data Adequacy & Data Interpretation : Data Adequacy & Data Interpretation section includes topics such as Tables, Data Interpretation, Data Sufficiency, Logical Reasoning, Cause and effects, Graphs representing area, Assumption-Premise-Conclusion, Pie chart, Venn – diagram, Critical reasoning, Visual reasoning, Bar graphs, Column graphs, Statements and Conclusions, Matrix arrangements.

 

Application Process

The IBSAT application form will be possibly available in July. The application form can be filled online & Offline mode.For Offline mode students will have to visit designated center of ICFAI schools. For online mode students need to visit the official website of IBSAT or ICFAI Business school.

Fees

The registration of from is available through the two different modes-offline and online. The application fee is Rs.1600/-. Those who are applying for the online mode, need to avail the application form via official website.

Eligibility

2 year Management Program

Graduation (any discipline) with 50% and above marks (as calculated by respective University) with medium of instruction as English.

All applicants should have completed a minimum of 15 years of education (on 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis).

Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium in graduation have to submit the TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score by May 31, 2018.

Applicants in their final year bachelor’s degree course are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their graduation requirements (including practical examinations / viva / assignments) before May 31, 2018. The admission will remain provisional until they produce marks sheets and degree certificates establishing their eligibility. The last date for submission of proof of graduation is November 01, 2018.

Eligibility criteria will be checked from August, 2018 onwards. Hence, the onus of ensuring that they satisfy the eligibility criteria rests solely with the candidates.

PhD Program

Graduation (any discipline) with 50% and above marks with medium of instruction as English and

Post Graduation in Management (full time with specialization in Marketing/ Finance/ Human Resource Management/ Operations from an UGC approved University) with 55% and above marks or

Postgraduation (full-time)in Economics, Commerce, Psychology, Sociology, Public Administration, Statistics, Mathematics or in an allied discipline from a recognized University in India or abroad with 55% and above marks or

A Professional qualification like CFA/ CA/ CWA/ CS with 55% and above marks.

All applicants should have completed a minimum of 17 years of regular education (on 10+2+3+2 or 10+2+4+2 basis).

Applicants who have completed their graduation/ Post graduation on one time sitting basis or on part time, distance mode or online mode are not eligible for PhD program of IBS Hyderabad.

Admission Process

IBSAT 2017

IBSAT is an online aptitude test conducted by The ICFAI Foundation For Higher Education (a deemed to be University under Section 3 of UGC act 1956), for students seeking admission to the MBA / PhD programs of IBS Hyderabad.

IBSAT is a Computer Based Test (CBT) and consists of multiple choice questions. IBSAT is of 2 hours duration and is aimed at testing the applicant’s ability in quantitative techniques, data interpretation, data adequacy, vocabulary, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension

GMAT®/CAT/NMAT by GMACTM scores from 2015 onwards are also accepted in place of IBSAT 2017.

MBA program offered by IBS Hyderabad, IBS Dehradun and IBS Jaipur.

PGPM (Post Graduate Program in Management) program offered by IBS Ahmedabad, IBS Bengaluru,

Selection Process

Candidates who have qualified based on scores of IBSAT2017/GMAT®/CAT/NMAT by GMACTM are called for the selection process at IBS Hyderabad in February 2018. The selection process comprises of Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Admission decision

The final selection is based on past academic record and performance of the candidates in Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Fee

The fee for the MBA program at IBS Hyderabad campus is Rs. 6.25 lakhs per annum.

The fee for the MBA program at IBS Dehradun and IBS Jaipur campuses is Rs. 2.55 lakhs per annum.

The fee for the PGPM program at IBS Ahmedabad, IBS Bengaluru,IBS Kolkata, IBS Gurgaon, IBS Mumbai
and IBS Pune campuses is Rs 3.63 lakhs per annum.
