Mumbai, 14th July 2024: The much-awaited registration process for the Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) Engineering Centralized Admission Process (CAP) has begun. The registration, including uploading required documents, is now open for candidates applying from Maharashtra, All India, NRI, OCI, PIO, CIWGC, and FN categories. Additionally, registration for Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh Migrant candidates is also available.

Schedule

• Online Registration & Document Upload: July 14, 2024, to July 24, 2024 (until 5 PM)
• Document Verification & Application Form Confirmation: July 15, 2024, to July 25, 2024 (until 5 PM)
• Provisional Merit List Display: July 27, 2024
• Grievance Submission for Provisional Merit List: July 28, 2024, to July 30, 2024 (until 5 PM)
• Final Merit List Display: August 2, 2024

Eligibility Criteria

Admission Notice for B.E./B. Tech.

Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates:

• Must be an Indian citizen.
• Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject/Computer Science/Information Technology/Informatics Practices/Agriculture/Engineering Graphics/Business Studies/Electronics/Entrepreneurship.
• Minimum 45% aggregate marks (40% for reserved categories and PwD candidates from Maharashtra).
• Non-zero score in PCM MHT-CET 2024 or JEE Main (with preference given to JEE Main scores).

All India Candidature Candidates:

• Similar criteria as Maharashtra State candidates.
• Non-zero positive score in JEE Main or MHT-CET 2024.

NRI/OCI/PIO, Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries, Foreign Nationals:

• Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with the same subject requirements.
• Minimum 45% aggregate marks.
• Valid score in JEE Main, NEET, or MHT-CET 2024.

General Instructions

1. Application Fee:

• General Category: ₹1000
• Reserved Category (Maharashtra State only): ₹800
• NRI/OCI/PIO, Foreign Nationals: ₹10,000

1. Document Verification:

• E-Scrutiny: Online verification of scanned documents.
• Physical Scrutiny: Candidates must visit the nearest Scrutiny Center.

1. Registration Process:

• Register online at www.mahacet.org.
• Upload the necessary documents and pay the application fee (if applicable).

1. Important Points:

• Reserved category candidates must produce valid certificates.
• EWS candidates need to provide the eligibility certificate.
• Non-confirmation of the application form by the scrutiny center will lead to rejection.
• Once options/preferences are confirmed online, no changes can be made.
