Medical Admission Process State Common Entrance Test has started, this year there will be 3 cap rounds followed by 'stray vacancy round' separately for remaining vacancies online.
Before that, the aspirants for 'MBBS' and 'BDS' should fill the preference form online from their own login ID till 3rd August 2023. Option form cannot be changed after clicking submit button. There are three groups while filling the preference form.
Group A – For MBBS/BDS courses
Group B – For Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani courses
Group C – For Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, BASLP and BPO courses
In the first phase, after the first round of Group 'A' i.e. MBBS/BDS, the first round of 'Group B' and 'Group C' will take place. While filling preference the college code will be 4 digits followed by 'S' which means all the seats in Govt/Corporation Colleges and 85% seats each in Private Colleges/Minority Colleges are reserved.
And if 'N' then 15 percent seats each in private colleges/minority colleges are reserved for this college quota. If a student prefers a college quota, one should check the fees of that college on the official website of the 'Fees Regulatory Authority'.
Cap- Round Process
1. Students who want to take admission in the colleges selected in the first round should fill the status retention form. Admitted students will not be considered for the next round.
2. Students who have got a college in the first round and have joined, but want a better college i.e. want to upgrade and have not filled the status retention form, can fill the preference form again in the second round.
3. Students who got college in first round but not reported to the college they got can fill the form in second round. In such a case, their college obtained in the first round will be cancelled. You have to fill the preference form again.
4. Students who are not given preference in the first round
5. Students who did not get the college in the first round
6. Got college in first round but canceled by institution in document verification but student is otherwise eligible for selection. Their first round pick will not be valid. In the second round only available seats will qualify.
