Private School Admission: The education department recently brought a good opportunity for all the poor children who dream of studying in the top private schools of the Banka district of Bihar. Now, private schools will no longer be able to act arbitrarily in enrolling 25 per cent of this quota.
They must enrol in one of the district's more than 150 authorized private schools for the first grade. 25% of first-grade seats will be allocated for children from low-income families. The government will cover the cost of such a child's education at private schools.
To participate in this program, children should belong from a low-income household. SC-ST families' yearly income should be less than one lakh rupees, while economically backward upper caste families' income must be less than two lakh rupees annually.
Private School Admission: Apply through the Gyandeep portal
To apply for this, parents should open the Gyandeep portal and search for the district for admission. After that, all the names of private schools will appear on the screen.
Parents can select five schools of their choice for their children. Applications for this will be accepted till 16 June 2024. After this, schools will be allotted to the children. Earlier, private schools used to give admission to poor children on their own.
To ensure transparency, the education department has begun its application process online. On Monday, primary education director Mithilesh Mishra held a video conference with all districts in this respect, urging them to urge more underprivileged children to join.
