Toyota-Kirloskar, a leading automobile manufacturer, is establishing a school in the Bidkin (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar) area of the Auric City industrial zone to train local youth in advanced technical skills. The company officials visited Bidkin on Friday (July 18) to inspect the site for their upcoming project.
This initiative will contribute to the socio-economic development of the Marathwada region. Toyota-Kirloskar plans to launch the school at the Multi Skill Development Center in Bidkin, with a focus on providing job-oriented technical education to youth in the surrounding areas.
The program aims to equip students with hands-on knowledge in various fields, including engineering and technical operations. It is expected to increase employment opportunities, especially for women, who are being encouraged to participate in large numbers.
Highlights of the Initiative:
* Toyota-Kirloskar will start a technical training institute in Bidkin, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to enhance the employability of local youth.
* Training will focus on industry-relevant skills, aiming to bridge the gap between education and employment.
* The school will operate with support from government and private sector partnerships.
* Special emphasis will be placed on encouraging women's participation in skilled trades.
* This initiative is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts.
The visiting delegation from Toyota-Kirloskar included high-level officials who appreciated the infrastructure and facilities in the Auric industrial zone. They expressed confidence that the Bidkin Centre would become a model training hub for other regions.
Officials from the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) and the Auric City Development Corporation have extended full support for the initiative, which is expected to begin operations soon.
