Section-wise analysis of NEET 2020 Phase 2

NTA NEET Phase-  2 exam was held on 15th October for the aspirants who were unable to appear for the exam on 13th September due to Covid- 19 Pandemic. Most of the candidates who gave the exam said the difficulty level of questions were between easy and moderate. Here is the section-wise analysis of NEET Phase – 2.

PHYSICS:

Difficulty level – Moderate

In comparison to Phase-I, the Physics section was on a slightly higher difficulty level.

The paper was mainly based on the NCERT syllabus. Even the theoretical questions were from NCERT textbook containing several solved NCERT examples.

 More Numerical questions were there.

Questions were based on tricky calculations.

Questions were asked from the recommended syllabus only.

There was only one contentious question.

Generally the paper was not lengthy.

CHEMISTRY

Difficulty level – Easy to Moderate.

As compared to Phase-I, Chemistry was easy at this time.

All questions were based on the NCERT textbook only. As compared to Phase-I, statements were directly taken from the NCERT textbooks.

The questions were Direct & easy to understand.

No provocative questions but in 1-2 questions, the language was a little confusing.

Not much lengthy. It very easy going paper.

No tricky calculations were there.

Organic Chemistry did not require students to research deep into mechanism

BIOLOGY:

In comparison with Phase-I, Biology part was a bit easy. Generally, it was of easy to moderate difficulty level.

NCERT concentrated paper with some abnormalities in options. And that too a rare existence of options outside the NCERT Syllabus.

The paper was mainly stable and well circulated as all the NCERT chapters were enclosed.

To talk about question pattern, all parts were enclosed with a lot of tables and match the following.

There were 42 questions from Zoology and 48 questions from Botany.

This year around 15 lakh applicants registered for the NEET 2020. Only 85-90% of them appeared in the exam that was conducted on 13th September. Those who were absent had given a second chance to give the exam, in view of the Coronavirus pandemic. NTA will declare the NEET 2020 Results on 16th October at ntaneet.nic.in.
