NEET-UG 2024 CAP-2 & CAP-3 Round Schedule for MBBS and BDS Admissions Announced

The NEET-UG 2024 counselling process for MBBS and BDS courses is underway, with the completion of the first round of allotments as of September 5, 2024. With vacant seats remaining, the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) has announced the schedule for CAP-2 and CAP-3 rounds to fill these seats in Government, Corporation, Government Aided, Private Unaided, and Minority Colleges for the academic year 2024-25. This announcement follows the revised counselling schedule published by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), New Delhi.

CAP-2 Schedule (MBBS/BDS Courses Only)

Last Date to Resign Round 1 Seats: Candidates wishing to resign from their Round 1 seats without forfeiting fees must do so by September 25, 2024.
Seat Matrix Publication: The seat matrix for CAP-2 will be released on September 26, 2024.
Online Choice Filling for CAP-2: Eligible candidates must fill in their preferences between September 27, 2024, and September 29, 2024, until 11:59 pm.
CAP-2 Selection List: The results of CAP-2 will be declared on September 30, 2024.
Physical Joining and Document Submission: Selected candidates must report to their allotted colleges between October 1, 2024, and October 4, 2024, with original documents and fees.
Resignation Deadline for Round 2 Seats: Candidates wishing to resign from their Round 2 seats with forfeiture of registration fees must do so by October 7, 2024.

The academic session will commence on October 1, 2024.

CAP-3 Schedule (MBBS/BDS Courses Only)

Online Registration and Fee Payment: Candidates must register and pay fees between October 9, 2024, and October 13, 2024.
Document Upload: Candidates need to upload scanned documents by October 13, 2024.
General List of Registered Candidates: The list will be published on October 14, 2024.
Combined State Merit List: To be released on October 14, 2024.
CAP-3 Seat Matrix: The seat matrix for CAP-3 will be published on October 15, 2024.
Choice Filling for CAP-3: Eligible candidates can fill in their preferences from October 15, 2024, to October 17, 2024, until 11:59 pm.
CAP-3 Selection List: The results for CAP-3 will be declared on October 19, 2024.
Physical Joining for CAP-3: Selected candidates must join their allotted colleges between October 20, 2024, and October 23, 2024.

The last date to resign without penalty is October 23, 2024.

Important Points:

Eligibility for CAP-3 Round: Candidates who joined seats up to Round 2 or filled the Status Retention Form, or those allotted a seat under the All India Quota in Round 1, 2, or 3, will not be eligible for CAP-3.
Penalty for Late Resignation: Resigning after October 23, 2024, will incur penalties per Clause 16 of the Information Brochure.
Status Retention Form: Once it is filled out, it cannot be withdrawn, so candidates must fill it out carefully.
