Supreme Court allowed NTA to conduct NEET for Covid-19 affected students

On Monday The Supreme Court gave permission to the NTA to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination (NEET) exam for students who were suffering from covid – 19 and had missed the first round of the examination. Solicitor General Mr Tushar Mehta had approached the top court on Monday seeking permission to conduct NEET for these students.

A three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice SA Bobde permitted National Testing Agency to conduct the NEET exam. The second round of the exam will be conducted on 14th October and result of this exam will be announced on 16th October.

On 13th September NTA had conducted the first round of NEET exam for which approximately 15.9 lakh candidates had registered.
