10 Proven NEET 2021 Preparation Tips for droppers and repeaters
NEET being a tough exam has seen a number of droppers and repeaters every year. For such students who have already appeared for the exam and are preparing for their next attempt, the preparation pattern and new approach will determine if they will crack the exam in the coming attempt.
It is essential to analyse and chalk out a strategy for a successful attempt. Failing in the first attempt is common for many students, but to make sure that you pass in the next you need some special moves that will do the trick. Without losing hope and enthusiasm, getting back on track is what it’s all about.
Here are a few tips for the students who are droppers and repeaters and are appearing for NEET 2021.
Tough Topics in the Previous Exam
Make a list of all the topics that took you more time to solve in your previous NEET exam. Include topics that you could not understand or found to be difficult. Studying and revising these topics will help you score better in the next exam. The key is to focus on topics that you might find to be taxing.
Time Management
One of the most essential tricks is to manage your time in the exam as well as when you are preparing for it. During exam preparations, make sure you give more time to the topics that are lengthy and have a greater number of questions in the exam.
While taking mock tests and practice sessions, make a note of the time taken by you to solve the problems and topic you faced problems with in the previous exam. Try to concentrate and master the time given to a particular topic to find a faster and more accurate way to achieve the desired results.
Practice and Revision Pattern
While practicing or revising your syllabus, make a note of the main points that hold more weightage and importance during the exam. Analyse your previous practice patterns and see what needs to be changed to achieve better results. The practice sessions and revisions should concentrate more on the topics that seem difficult for you. The pattern should be such that you are able to cover the important topics first and still have enough time to revise the topics you are already thorough with.
Study Material
Find the correct study material. Online Coaching for NEET has prescribed and well-devised study material that includes all the topics as well as tips and tricks for the complex topics. Review and choose the study material that you can relate to. Get help from your faculty to choose the best and most effective study material.
Old Papers and Practice Tests
Practice NEET papers from the previous years to understand the pattern of the exam in a better way. This will help you understand which topics will need more attention and what topics can be scoring in the exam.
Revised Timetable
The timetable followed in the previous exam may not the up to the mark. Revise old timetables and make changes to include topics that need special attention. Be careful while dividing your daily time across all the topics and subjects. Include all the topics but do not flood yourself. Remember, you should have ample time to study each subject.
Important Topics
Every subject will have topics of the most important in the exam that will be more scoring than the other. Analyze and figure out such topics so that you can invest enough time in these topics. Remember, study important topics thoroughly but not while avoiding other topics.
Practice a Regular Study Schedule
Make a study pattern and timetable that you can follow daily and stick to without tiring yourself out. Plan a regular study schedule that you can adhere to without any problem. You have to understand that NEET will require a lot of dedication, but not at the cost of a tired mind and body.
Plan and Implement Syllabus
Divide and make a plan for your syllabus. Segregate your syllabus over days and weeks. This will help you to cover all the subjects and topics in the given duration before the exam. Make a plan that you are comfortable with. Do not overexert yourself.
Keep Calm and Have Confidence
A calm and confident mind is vital! If you panic, you will only lose control. Try to approach each subject and topic with a calm and confident attitude. Break down the syllabus and start with the topics that you are most confident with. This will help you concentrate better and study well. Take breaks in between to rejuvenate yourself.
