The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-Hyderabad) has invited applications for their fellowship programme, focused on universal healthcare solutions with training and incubation opportunities.
Candidates can apply through the website- iith.ac.in. The last date to apply online is November 30, 2019. The admission process will begin in January 2020.
“The fellowship provides a stipend of Rs 50,000 per month during the first year of training, which includes deep clinical immersions in private and public hospitals and exposure to the healthcare industry,” read the official website.
The structured and comprehensive curriculum aims to facilitate entrepreneurs in taking their innovation from lab-prototype to commercialisation through topics like compliance aspects, entrepreneurship development, intellectual property rights, markets and new ventures, business models and business plan development.
Renu John, co-head of Department of Biomedical Engineering remarked, “The CfHE fellowship is a golden opportunity for aspiring healthcare entrepreneurs, as the centre caters to all the needs of budding entrepreneurs.”
The successful start-ups selected from this fellowship programme will be given an opportunity at CfHE incubator with a grant of Rs 25 lakh.

The Center for Healthcare Entrepreneurship (CfHE) was established in December 2015 at Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad with an objective to catalyse healthcare innovation with a focus on affordable solutions.
