Admissions Open for 2025-26 at DES Pune University
Apply by May 20, 2025 for Undergraduate Programmes
Pune, India – Deccan Education Society (DES) Pune University has officially announced the commencement of its admission process for the academic year 2025–26. Applications are now open for a wide range of Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes offered across various disciplines.
Admission Through DES UCET/PCET
Admissions to DES Pune University are primarily conducted through the DES UCET/PCET entrance exam. This exam allows students to showcase their aptitude and academic preparedness in a flexible, student-friendly manner. The test consists of 50 questions — 25 General Aptitude and 25 Programme Specific — each carrying 2 marks, totalling 100 marks. The UCET/PCET score will be scaled down to 50 marks.
In addition, an online personal interaction worth 50 marks is mandatory for all applicants. The final seat allotment will be based on a cumulative score of 100 marks (50 from UCET/PCET and 50 from the online interaction). The schedule for the interaction will be shared with candidates via email.
Note: For B.Tech and MBA programmes, only standard national or state-level entrance exam scores will be accepted.

Economics: B.Sc. Economics
Creative Arts & Media: B.Sc. Animation, BA Film Making, BA Dramatics (Acting)
Engineering & Design:
* B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering
* B.Tech in Electronics Communication and Engineering
* Direct Second Year B.Tech in AI & ML, Electronics Communication, and Computer Science
* B.Des in Interior Design, B.Des in User Experience Design
* Postgraduate Programmes Offered:
* Engineering & Technology: M.Tech in Computer Science, M.Tech in Electronics and Communication
* Computer Science & Data: M.Sc. Computer Science, MCA, M.Sc. Data Science, M.Sc. Bioinformatics, M.Sc. Statistics
* Management: MBA (Finance, Marketing, HR), Executive MBA (for Working Professionals)
* Social Sciences & Humanities: MA Psychology, M.Sc. Economics, MA Media and Communication, Masters in Social Work
