The Merit-cum-Means (MCM) Scholarship is the flagship financial aid initiative for undergraduate and postgraduate students (BTech, MSc, MA, MPP). Students with annual family income up to Rs 8 lakh and a minimum CGPA/SGPA of 6.0 are eligible. Around 25% of eligible students benefit from a monthly stipend of Rs 4,000 and full tuition fee waiver. Those beyond the 25% cap can still avail Institute Free Studentship, covering only tuition fees.
Additionally, all SC/ST/PwD students receive full fee exemption, free basic messing, and Rs 1,000 as monthly allowance. Hostel rent is also waived if family income is below Rs 8 lakh.
