JEE Main 2023 Registration has started from 15th December 2022. The exam is being conducted by NTA in two sessions namely January and April. The exam consists of two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2 for Engineering/Technology and Architecture/Planning courses respectively.
Admission to B.Tech/ B.E/ B.Arch/ B.Plan courses in government and private reputed educational institutes of the country is considered on the basis of JEE Main score.
100% admission process in NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, reputed educational institutes based on JEE Main score and 15% admission reserved Seats in engineering colleges in Maharashtra and other states.
JEE Main exam will be held in January 2023 (Session 1) and April 2023 (Session 2).
JEE Main 2023 Eligibility Criteria:
Admission to B.E / B.Tech / B.Arch / B.Planning. Courses in participating NITs, IIITs and CFTIs through the Central Seat Allotment Board will be based on All India Rank, subject to the condition that the candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the Class 12th examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks in Class 12th/Eligibility Test will be 65%. Candidate must also pass in each subject of 12th / Qualifying Examination. (Earlier there was a rule of 75 percent marks for admission to the relevant course. But due to non-examination during Corona, it affected the results of many students. So this rule was removed from the admission process for two years, now it has been reintroduced.)
Nationality: Indian citizens and international applicants are eligible to apply. However, international applicants must obtain the required marks prescribed by AIU for JEE Main.
Age Criteria: There is no age limit prescribed for the candidates appearing in JEE Main 2023.
JEE Main (B.E/B.Tech) Exam Pattern:
Exam Mode: The exam is conducted through online (Computer Based test -CBT) mode. Drawing Test for G Main Paper II (B.Arch) will be conducted in offline mode.
Subject: JEE Main consists of questions from Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics subjects.
Type of Questions: Objective Type – Multiple Choice Questions and Numerical Type Questions will be asked in the exam.
Number of Questions: There are 90 questions in the question paper, out of which candidates have to attempt 75 questions. Options will be given in Section B. The duration of the exam is 3 hours. 4 hours for candidates with 40% disability.
Marking Scheme: Each correct question will carry 4 marks.
Negative Marking: Deduction will be made for each wrong response. Section B will have negative marking from this year. -1 mark will be deducted for wrong answers in each section.
Expected Cut Off for JEE Main 2023: General 90-95, EWS 70-75, OBC- NCL 70-75SC 50-55,ST 40-45,PWD 0-2

JEE Main 2023 Score Card/Result, Photo Identity Proof, Seat Allotment Letter, Class Certificate, Transfer Certificate, 12th Mark Sheet and Certificate, Medical Certificate, Three Passport Size Photographs, PWD Certificate, Seat Acceptance Fee Payment Proof etc.
