Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, on Friday, March 13, 2020 announced the results of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2020 on its official portal.
The candidates who have appeared for the GATE 2020 can visit the official website of GOAPS — gate.iitd.ac.in - to check and download the result.
IIT Delhi, organising institute of GATE 2020 conducted the exam on February 1, 2, 8 and 9, 2020, at various centres in India and abroad.
The link to check the result has been made available on the official website.
Of total 858890 registered candidates, 685088 candidates appeared for the GATE exam. As per the result notification, 18.8% candidates have declared qualified in the test.
The result notification reads “IIT Delhi is the organizing institute for GATE 2020 examination. Out of 858890 registered candidates in 25 papers, 685088 candidates (79.76%) appeared in the examination and around 18.8% candidates qualified in GATE 2020. The result of GATE 2020 is declared today (March 13, 2020) at 2:30 pm and is available on the GATE website http://appsgate.iitd.ac.in.”
GATE 2020 provisional answer keys were released on February 18, 2020, on its official portal. Candidates were given time from February 19 to 21, 2020, to challenge the GATE answer key. After evaluation of the challenges, IIT Delhi on Friday released the GATE 2020 final answer key.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is conducted to test the comprehensive understanding of the candidates in various undergraduate subjects in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture and post-graduate level subjects in Science. GATE 2020 exam was conducted for 25 subjects in the month of February 2020. The GATE examination centres are spread in different cities across India, as well as, in six cities outside India. The exam was conducted in a Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
The GATE score reflects the relative performance level of the candidate in a particular subject, which is quantified based on the several years of examination data. The candidates should note that the GATE 2020 score is valid for three years from the date of announcement of the results.
