Institute Level Spot Round for the First Year of the Four Year Degree Courses in Engineering/Technology for the academic year 2022-23

Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI) Mumbai invites applications from eligible candidates for the Institute Level Spot Round for the First Year of the Four Year Degree Courses in Engineering/Technology for the academic year 2022-23. The round will be conducted on Sunday, 20 November 2022 at the VJTI Campus (as per rule No 13 mentioned in Information Brochure for academic year 2022-23 published by State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State.) 

*Rules, regulations prescribed by state CET CELL will be in effect.

The eligible candidates need to fill an online application through Google Form by Friday, 18^th November 2022 before 05.00PM, with the required details and payment of processing fees (non-refundable) by scanning QR code, in order to participate in the Institute Level Spot Round. 

Please go through the following instructions carefully before beginning with the process of application.

1. Eligibility:  
   1. Only those candidates, who have registered through CET portal and verified their applications by FC, are eligible to apply through online mode in order to participate in the Institute Level Spot Round. 
   2. Please refer to annexure II for details of admission fees to be paid.
   3. The Provisional vacant seat matrix for the Institute Level Spot Round will be published on Monday 14^th November 2022 (Final vacancies will be published on 20/11/2022 at 9.00am i.e. on the day of spot round)
   4. Institute level spot round will be dynamic in nature. Hence there is a possibility of addition of seats due to upgrade/change in branch by candidates during admission process. The vacancy/vacancies generated due to upgrade /Change of branch during admission process will be offered to the next meritorious candidate.

2.0 Process of Application:

2.1 Before filling the online application please keep ready following items;

Scanned copy of Receipt of Payment of Application Processing Fees for spot round (Not more than 1 MB). Scanned copy of Receipt cum Acknowledgement issued by State CET Cell, Maharashtra, through its FC &/Receipt of Admission issued by State CET Cell, Maharashtra, through its ARC. (Not more than 1 MB). 2.2 Payment of Application Processing Fees

Payment of Application Processing Fees is to be done by scanning QR Code attached as Annexure I.   Application Processing Fees is INR 500/- for Unreserved Category and INR 300/- for Reserved Categories.  Once Payment of Application Processing Fees is done, please note down the Transaction Number and also take a screenshot of the same. Process of Admission for Institute Level Spot Round. The eligible candidates (as per 1.1) need to apply only in online mode through Google Form (link given above in 2.0). All fields are mandatory in the given Google form; any incomplete or incorrect response will summarily disqualify the candidature. Once the candidate fills the Google form and submits, he or she will receive a response email on his/her registered email ID. One candidate will be eligible to fill the form only once. So be careful while entering details in Google Form and cross check before you proceed for submission. The cut off time for accepting Google Forms is Friday, 18^th November 2022 till 05.00 PM. The response accepting link will be closed after that and no request will be entertained to reopen the link. Based on accepted responses, Admission Cell, VJTI will publish a provisional merit list on VJTI Website on Saturday, 19^th November at 11.00 AM at https://vjti.ac.in/admissions/under-graduate-programs/.

Final Merit list will be published on VJTI Website on Saturday, 19^th November 2022 at 6.00pm at https://vjti.ac.in/admissions/under-graduate-programs/. Important Instructions for the Candidates: Applying for Institute Level Spot Round does not essentially guarantee a seat to the candidate as the seat allotment will be done as per inter se merit against the seats available at the time of Counselling.  In case of any discrepancy, the rules published by CET Cell shall be final. 

Only those candidates, who have registered online through CET portal and verified their applications before 18^th November 05.00 PM, are eligible to apply in online mode. No fresh applications will be considered. These admissions will be made strictly in the order of inter se merit from amongst the candidates who have submitted the application through Google form before 18^th Nov. 2022, 05.00 PM and report in person for admission to VJTI against the seats available in various branches at the time when the candidate actually reports for admission by counselling. Candidate will lose claim to participate in the admission counselling process, if he/she fails to produce all the applicable original documents at the time of document verification during counselling round. In case a candidate has taken admission elsewhere he/she will be required to submit/produce original fee receipt and the candidate should submit undertaking stating that original documents will be submitted by him/her within four working days from the date of reporting.  The seat allotment to the candidate will be carried out based on the vacancy available at the time of his/her merit. Seat allotted, accordingly, to a candidate would then be deleted from the pool of vacant seats displayed on the screen. Candidates are advised to be present in the Counselling hall and wait for their turn. If a candidate is found unavailable when called, the next candidate on the merit rank would be called for allotment of seat and the unavailable candidate may miss his/her chance of merit based seat allotment (Please refer 13 of information brochure published by State CET Cell, Maharashtra State).  If a candidate of higher merit reports late during the process of counselling, the candidate may be considered for allotment of a seat available at that point of time for a particular category to which he/she belongs. Such a candidate shall be given preference for admission over the candidates with lower rank present at that point of time. The decision of the admission centre in charge shall be final and binding.  Confirmation of the allotted seat to the candidate is subject to the submission of the requisite Institute admission fees in the form of Demand Draft(s), applicable original documents, with this candidate confirms the admission through the acceptance of allotted seat at VJTI.  Candidates are advised to pay the requisite institute admission fee in the form Demand Draft before the seat allotment. Payment through cash / cheque will not be accepted.   Candidates desiring to attend particular stage of admission shall report to admission cell at least 30 minutes prior to the schedule time. Candidate has to furnish a Demand Draft in favour of ‘Director VJTI’ payable at Mumbai at the time of admission as per Annexure II.  

Candidates already admitted to VJTI in the First year of the Engineering degree courses need to apply through Google form and pay the requisite processing fees as mentioned in 2.3., and should furnish the original admission confirmation letter issued by VJTI.   

Candidates already admitted to VJTI in the first year of the engineering degree courses need not bring Demand Draft such candidates have already paid the admission fees.

Important Instruction about Fees Payment

Candidate belonging to SC/ST/PWD/OBC/VJ/NT/SBC and willing take benefit of above concessions in admission fees are required to produce relevant income certificate, valid till 31^st March 2023, as per the income group specified in above table.   

Such income certificate can be produced at the time of Spot Counselling or by 05 Dec. 2022. Failing to produce relevant income certificate, the candidate may be considered as General category student and consequently has to pay full fees i.e. Rs. 85,551/-  

Candidate has to furnish a Demand Draft in favour of ‘Director VJTI’ payable at Mumbai at the time of admission.
