NEST Registration 2024: The National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2024 registration period will begin tomorrow, March 30. The NEST 2024 exam will take place on June 30. Those who qualify can complete the NEST 2024 application form by going to the official website of NEST at nestexam.in.
According to the official schedule, the deadline to submit the NEST 2024 application form is May 31, 2024. The NEST 2024 admit card will be available on June 15. The NEST 2024 exam will take place in two shifts: 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. The NEST 2024 result will be announced on July 10.
The NEST 2024 application cost for male applicants from the general and other backward classes (OBC) categories is Rs 1,400. The application cost for candidates from the scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), and Divyangjan (physically challenged) groups, as well as all female candidates, is Rs 700.
The National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is a computer-based exam necessary for enrollment in the five-year integrated Master of Science (MSc) degree.
NEST 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Applicants can check the NEST 2024 qualifying requirements before applying.
- Age limit: There is no age limit for taking the NEST 2024 exam and applying to either the NISER or UM-DAE CEBS.
- Educational Qualification: Applicants must have completed grades 11 and 12 in the standard scientific stream with at least 60%. Applicants from the reserved categories must have scored at least 55%.
Candidates must have taken the Class 12 test from a recognized board in 2022 or 2023, or be scheduled to take it in 2024.

As per the official announcement, there are 257 places available for admission at the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) in Bhubaneswar and the University of Mumbai-Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS) in Mumbai.
