The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has issued the Hall Tickets for the Gujarat Common Entrance Exam (GUJCET) for admission to various BTech and BPharma programmes in the Gujarat state.
Candidates can login into the official website of GUJCET 2024 in order to download their admit cards for the upcoming exam.
The GUJCET is scheduled for March 31, 2024. The exam, which was originally scheduled for April 2, was rescheduled as it was clashing with the CBSE board exam dates.
GUJCET exam pattern
The Common Entrance Test (CET) will last three hours, according to the exam format announced by the GSEB. Each section has 60 minutes for students to answer 40 questions. Participants will earn one mark for each correct answer and receive a 0.25 marks penalty for each incorrect response. The exam will be offered in three languages: English, Hindi, and Gujarati.
The subject-wise question pattern is as follows-

What criteria will determine the merit list?
The Joint Admission Committee of Professional Courses will prepare the merit list for Degree Engineering and Degree/Diploma Pharmacy admissions based on GUJCET and Board Examination results, in accordance with the prevailing rules.
The admission committee responsible for Degree Engineering and Degree/Diploma Pharmacy courses will compile a merit list based on percentile scores in the theory subjects of the selected group (A or B or AB) and GUJCET percentile.
Admission will be granted according to the merit list derived from the theory percentile scores in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths, Biology from the Standard 12 examination conducted by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, along with GUJCET percentile.
For students outside the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, admission criteria in 2024 will follow a similar approach, with merit determined by theory percentile scores in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths/Biology from examinations conducted by other recognized boards, along with GUJCET percentile.
What is the syllabus for GUJCET 2024?
GUJCET is for students aiming to secure seats in UG engineering and pharmacy courses at government and private institutions throughout Gujarat. The exam syllabus comprises of sections from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics based on the NCERT textbook syllabus. Here's an overview-
