For NEET PG 2023 Counselling, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, MoHFW, has lowered the cutoff percentile. Across all categories, the qualifying percentage has been lowered to zero. Candidates can see a formal notification on the official website of MCC at mcc.nic.in.
For applicants who are now eligible due to a fall in percentage, the Committee has further decided to open up new registration and choice filling for Round 3 of PG Counselling. Candidates who qualify may sign up and take part in Round 3 of counselling.
Candidates who have previously registered do not need to do so again. They will be able to change their selections. A new schedule for Round 3 and beyond of the PG Counseling process will be posted soon on the MCC website. Candidates can visit the MCC's official website for further information.
NEET PG 2023 Counselling: Official Notice
MoHFW issued an official notice on the same. The notice reads, “It is for the information to candidates that vide Letter No. U-12021/07/2023-MEC (Pt-I) dated 20.09.2023 (Copy attached below), the qualifying percentile for PG Courses (Medical/ Dental) for NEET PG Counselling 2023 has been reduced to ‘ZERO’ across all categories by MoHFW.”
The notice further reads, "In this regard, it is mentioned that Fresh Registration & Choice Filling for Round-3 of PG Counselling will be opened again for candidates who have become eligible after reduction of percentile. Candidates who have become freshly eligible can register and participate in Round 3 of counselling. The candidates who are already registered need not register again. However, they will be allowed to edit their choices."
"A fresh schedule for Round 3 onwards for PG Counselling will be put up on the MCC website soon. Candidates are advised to be in touch with the MCC website for further updates," it added.
