HPAS Main Exam 2023: The HP Administrative Service Competitive (HPAS Main) will be held by the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) starting tomorrow, December 13. The HPPSC Main Hall Ticket 2023 may be downloaded by candidates via the official website, hppsc.hp.gov.in.
The HPAS Hindi exam will be held in the second shift, from 2 PM to 5 PM, and the HPAS English exam in the first shift, from 9 AM to 12 PM. Exams in Hindi and English will each carry 100 marks. Paper III (essay), Paper IV (general studies 1), Paper V (general 2), Paper VI (general studies 3), Paper VII (optional subject 1), and Paper VIII (optional subject 2) require appearances from eligible candidates. The other papers will be worth 200 points each, and the optional topic papers will be for 100 marks each.
HPAS Main Exam 2023: Qualifying marks
The commission stated that, except for the required English and Hindi tests, the general standards and topics of the papers will be comparable to those of degree-level exams offered by accredited universities. The requirements and topics covered in the required Hindi and English examinations will be at the Class 12 level. The overall ranking will not be based on the marks received in the required English and Hindi papers, even if passing each of these subjects with a 40% score is required to be eligible.
The chosen candidates must show up for the in-person interview. There will be questions for the candidates on topics of general interest. According to the commission, the purpose of the personality test is to determine if the applicant is personally qualified for the position for which they have sought.
