UPSC IES & ISS Registration 2024: Registration for the 2024 Indian Economic Service (IES) and Indian Statistical Service (ISS) exams is now open through the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) as of today, April 10. By accessing the official website at upsconline.nic.in or upsc.gov.in, eligible candidates can apply for the UPSC IES, ISS exam 2024.
The application for UPSC IES, ISS 2024 must be completed by April 30. The official notice states that the application form correction window for the UPSC IES, ISS 2024 would be open from May 1 to May 7. On June 21, numerous test locations will host the UPSC IES, ISS exam. Applicants must first register using the one-time registration (OTR) platform on the commission's website to fill out the application.
There are 48 positions up for grabs in the UPSC recruitment campaign, of which 18 are in the Indian Economic Service and 30 are in the Indian Statistical Service.
To register for the UPSC IES, ISS exam 2024, applicants from the general and other backward class (OBC) categories must pay an application fee of Rs 200. Nevertheless, there is no application cost for those who fall under the scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), or Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) categories, or who are female.
UPSC IES & ISS Exam 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Before applying, candidates can review the requirements for eligibility for the UPSC IES and ISS test 2024.
- Age limit: As of August 1, 2024, candidates shall be between the ages of 21 and 30. Applicants in the reserved category are eligible for upper age limit relaxations.
- Educational Qualification:
1. A postgraduate degree in economics, applied economics, business economics, or econometrics from an accredited university is required for consideration for the Indian Economic Service.
2. A bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematical statistics, or applied statistics as one of the disciplines, or a master's degree in statistics, mathematical statistics, or applied statistics from an accredited university, is required of candidates for the Indian Statistical Service.
3. Applicants with degrees from international universities who meet the eligibility requirements may also apply to the commission. The commission may decide to allow these applicants to take the exam.
