The Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) will start the form submission process for class 10 and 12 private students from September 12 onwards. To submit the form, students have to visit the official website of CBSE at cbse.gov.in.
The candidate does not automatically have the right to show up for the exam by submitting the application and paying the cost. His or her eligibility will be based on meeting the requirements set forth by the Board for eligibility.
CBSE Board Exams 2024: Eligibility Criteria
According to the official notice from CBSE, the eligibility requirements are:-
1. Students of the session 2022-23 who have been declared essential repeat in the result of the 2023 examination.
2. Students of the session 2022-23 who have been placed in a compartment in the Board's Main Examinations 2023 if not declared Pass in the 1st chance.
3. Students of the session 2022-23 who have been placed in compartment in 1st chance compartment examination- 2023.
4. Students who have been declared fail/essential repeat in 2028, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.
5. Passed out students of 2023 who wish to appear to improve their performance in one or more subjects.
6. Passed out students of 2022 and 2023 who wish to appear in additional subjects.
Students who fall into the aforementioned categories can begin submitting their forms online on September 12, 2023, for the exam that will be held in 2023. The exam will be administered by the syllabus posted on the Board's official website.
The fees must be paid online using net banking, a debit card, or a credit card (both domestic and foreign). In the offline method, such as by check, money order, postal order, or other means, no fees shall be accepted.
For private students, the CBSE Board Exams will be held in February, March, and April of 2024. Candidates can visit the CBSE website for further information on this topic.
