The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) on Monday sought feedback from candidates on the recent changes it made in Group II main exam pattern.
The commission introduced translation as a separate paper as paper I and said that paper II would be evaluated only if candidates qualified in paper I.
Paper I consists of translation from Tamil to English and from English to Tamil. The exam will be held for 90 minutes in the morning. Candidates need to get 25 out of 100 to qualify.
The second paper will consist of essay writing, reading comprehension and letter writing. Marks scored out of 300 in this paper will be counted for the merit list.
"Some candidates have requested TNPSC to continue with the old pattern. The commission has hence decided to seek opinion of the candidates," TNPSC said in a press release.
