Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) has decided to conduct the entrance test for non-Common Entrance Test (CET) courses from May 25.
The offline entrance examinations will begin from May 25 and get over by June 15. The heads of the departments will be responsible to conduct the entrance test for the courses of their departments.
“The brochure which includes the number of courses, number of seats, eligibility, and fee have been finalized and soon the varsity will also put up the advertisement. The fee committee is yet to recommend the fee for the courses,” DAVV spokesperson of DAVV Dr Chandan Gupta told TOI.
There is no uniformity in fee for the courses and it will be decided by the committee in the coming days, he added.
The department will have to conduct the offline entrance test on their level that includes setting question paper.
On the other hand, the date to conduct CET hasn’t yet been finalized, the varsity has constantly been communicating with National Testing Agency (NTA) in regard with the dates for the online entrance test.
“We have been trying to get a date before June 15 for the computer-based test from the agency, we have already given our requirements and are hoping to get a date soon,” said DAVV vice-chancellor Dr Renu Jain who had conducted a meeting to discuss the seats, syllabus and other nitty-gritty of the offline entrance test.
The varsity already has 72 non-Common Entrance Test (CET) courses of 24 University Teaching Departments (UTD) for over 2000 seats and is likely to roll out some more new courses for the first time in the forthcoming academic session as a part of non-CET courses.
