FMGE December 2024: The National Medical Commission has begun the application procedure to get the eligibility certificate needed for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) 2024 December screening test. According to the NMC official announcement, the application process for the FMGE 2024 eligibility certificate will end on November 4 at 6 p.m. Interested individuals can apply for the FMGE 2024 eligibility certificate by going to the official website, nmc.org.in.
The NMC official notice read, "It may be noted that this is the last opportunity to apply for the Eligibility Certificates and thereafter no further chance would be available to the candidates to apply for the Eligibility Certificates. Accordingly, all candidates are requested to submit an application after doing due diligence and checking the requisite entries scrupulously before submitting the application. An Advisory in this connection would also be issued separately shortly by Registration EMRB and would be available on the website of NMC."
FMGE December 2024: How to view the application status?
The NMC offered two official email addresses for applicants to check on the status of their eligibility certificate applications: eligibility.regn@nmc.org.in and eligibility@nmc.org.in. Applicants have been urged to use these addresses to track their application status.
In the official announcement, the NMC emphasized the importance of providing a file tracking number with any inquiries about the eligibility certificate application. When an application is sent to the NMC, a file tracking number is produced and used as a unique identifier to follow the application's status.
According to the official notification, the NMC will not respond to questions that do not include this file tracking number. The message also addressed previous applicants for an eligibility certificate. According to the NMC, those who apply are not required to reapply. Their applications will continue to be handled, and they can use the file tracking number to request changes if necessary.
FMGE 2024 December session
The FMGE exam will take place in December 2024. The actual date for FMGE has yet to be confirmed. The FMGE 2024 December session will be held online. The FMGE 2024 exam format divides the paper into two halves, each of which contains 150 questions. The FMGE 2024 exam lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes. There will be no negative marks for wrong answers.
The FMGE is a certification test administered by the National Board of Examinations. Indian citizens or OCIs who received their primary medical degree from a foreign institution must pass this exam before they can be registered with the NMC or a State Medical Council (SMC) to practice in India. Applicants who earned their medical degrees before March 15, 2002, are excluded from taking the exam. FMGE takes place twice a year, in June and December.
