SLRPRB, Assam on Monday commenced the online registration process for the recruitment of various posts in the Assam Forest department. Candidates can submit the online applications for Assam Forest department recruitment through the official website of SLPRB — slprbassam.in — till June 25, 2020.
Assam Forest Department is holding this recruitment process to fill up 144 Posts of Forester-i, 11 Posts of Stenographer Grade-iii, 812 Posts of Forest Guard, 35 Posts of Surveyor, 28 Posts of Mahut, 1 Post of Carpenter & 50 Posts of Driver Under Forest Department, Assam.

Age Limit for Forester-I & Stenographer Grade III
The age of the applicants should not be more than 38 years and less than 21 years as on 1st January, 2020 (candidate should be born on or before 01-01-1999 and on or after 01-01-1982).
Age Limit for Forest Guard, Surveyor, Mahut, Carpenter &Driver
Applicants must not be more than 38 years and less than 18 years of age as on 1st January, 2020 (candidates should be born on or before 01-01-2002 and on or after 01-01-1982).

Upper age limit is relaxable as under:
Educational Qualification
Forester- I:
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any Examination declared equivalent by the Government.
Stenographer Grade- III:
Candidates should be a graduate in any stream from a recognized College/ Institutions affiliated to a recognized University with having National Trade Certificate in stenography from ITI in Assam or any other institute recognized by the Govt. of Assam/Govt. of India with 80 WPM in English Stenography.
Forest Guard:
Candidates should have passed higher secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board/ Council.
Surveyor:
Candidates should have passed HSLC or equivalent examination and must have a certificate in Draftsmanship from a recognized Institute.
Mahut:
Applicants should have completed Class VIII or equivalent and must have minimum 3 (three) years experience in elephant upkeeping.
Carpenter:
Candidates should have passed HLSC or equivalent examination and must have a trade certificate from a recognized Institution.
Driver:
Candidates should have passed HSLC or equivalent examination and must have a valid four wheeler driving license issued by the Competent Authority of Assam.
