Department of Geography at Savitribai Phule Pune University has organized a lecture on "Cyber Security". The lecture will be held by Harold D'costa, President-Cyber Security Corporation, Advisor - Law Enforcement Agencies & Sr. Trainer (Judges & Public Prosecutors).

The lecture will be held on Saturday, 5th October, 2019 at 11.30 am in Seminar Hall, Department of Geography, Savitribai Phule Pune University.

The Department of Geography was established in 1950 at Savtribai Phule Pune University and offers courses leading to M A and MSc in Geography, MSc in Geoinformatics, P G BSc (Applied) in GIS and Remote Sensing, and Ph.D. degree in Geography.

Meanwhile SPPU will be organizing an intercollege youth festival in October/November. The taluka and district level competitions are being held first and the winners will then compete in the university level competitions. Some of the categories include, music, dance, photography, cartooning, mime mimicry, skit, debate, quiz, folk orchestra etc

Savitribai Phule Pune University has jurisdiction over three districts namely, Nashik, Pune and Ahmednagar. Interested students are supposed to contact their respective college's student welfare coordinator for information on the activities and criteria.
