The Punjab School Education Board has postponed Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET)-2019 to January 19 citing lack of randomisation of roll numbers for the test.
The test was earlier scheduled for January 5.
According to information by the secretary of the board Mohd Tayeeb on Thursday late evening, the last minute checking of roll numbers allotted for January 5 test, resulted into these being in the same sequence as form numbers at many places which gave an impression as if it could become a reason for malpractices during the exam. An enquiry has been ordered into weak rationalisation and the work has been withdrawn from director computers, PSEB.
The communique disclosed that fresh roll numbers will be available to the candidates on January 15 at PSTET website for downloading.
